Last one I watched was "Sword of the Stranger." There was a one day only movie event last Thursday. I caught it at the Kent Station. Pretty good flick, but not available on DVD yet.

Then you need to see [live action] Lone Wolf and Cub series. *Or at least Samurai Shogun*

Watch it and you'll see the similarities between the two.

Great stuff.

I saw it previewed as a Fathom special event thing while watching some other movie. It looked interesting so I decided to go.

Here's the trailer.

I'm not a huge fanatic but I enjoy an anime every once in a while. Favorite - Evangelion

i watch too much anime for my own good. I think i've seen over 50 series.
I use to watch the old dragon balls when i was a kid and guyver. Now i just watch bleach and naruto even though they've got fillers going. I loved initial d and wangan midnight.
Heres a cool site someone from the nissan forums a mod for with a **** load of anime available.

"Hajime no Ippo" was great for that same reason. I not a huge fan of boxing, but that series got me interested. FYI, the 2nd series (hajime no ippo: New Challenger) began recently - continuing the manga storyline.

i had a t-shirt for that movie when i was in high school. it had kaneda on the motorcycle on the back and AKIRA in big kanji on the back. i was walking in a mall early in the morning and a group of old ladies stopped me and asked me "Is your name Akira? That's a good strong name." i'm half-philipino so i guess at a glance i could pass for a tall japanese guy? i got a kick out of it.

OT: try Death Note. i guess there's this concept of death in japan that people die when demons write their name in a book. so the series is based around this one demon being bored so he "drops" his notebook where the main char finds it.

i'm also watching the Witchblade anime, it's ok. typical action and lots of... jiggling...

You named your daughter that? You DO know that is a boy's name, right? It would be the japanese equivalent of naming your daughter John... lol.
