Default Hot start issue !! 04 WRX

Having trouble with 04 WRX not starting after warming up, starts everytime after sitting and cooling for a few hours. I’ve researched everywhere and have yet to come across someone else having the same symptoms as me. So far I’ve replaced and checked all grounds , replaced starter , battery, and battery terminals. Seemed to help on cold start up but still same problem once warm.. let the car sit for 15 mins with negative terminal off and it starts right up when hot. Car has 2 codes one being P1088
( TGV Position Sensor 1 (RH) Circuit Low )& P0442 ( Evaporative Emission Control System leak detected (small leak) I’m almost positive the TGV code would have no effect on the car not starting.. few things I’ve noticed is the front most crank case vent port is wide open with no hose on it and I can’t find any diagrams showing where that might connect.. can’t imagine it’s intended to just be open for debris to fall in and such. I’m also getting a fuel smell from passenger side of engine near the TGV’s / fuel rails. Can’t visibly see a leak anywhere though. Was thinking possibly the purge valve or lines associated with it. I haven’t diagnosed fuel or spark because I figured it starts and runs still, can anyone point me in the right direction? Just kinda lost here and don’t want to continue to throw parts at it.
