What are you doing for rings and did you specify bore finish roughness specifications?

Ring gap has not been set yet if thats your question. I haven't started assembly yet. As for finish roughness I did not specify or request any particular finish.

I hate when people start build threads and never finish! I'm talking about myself here as I feel guilty that I haven't posted much.

Had a few set backs, project is still ongoing.

To keep a long story short darton block was a waste of time and money because unfortunately the machinist botched the sleeve job, lost the sleeves, case halves and had to buy two pistons sizes because of this and lots of time on my end was wasted.

After going back to the drawing board me and my bro have decided to go with the IAG 1150 case halves and keep our rotating assembly of BC I beam rods/stock crank/ JE ultra series pistons.

More pics and posts will follow soon and sorry for not updating the thread.

Just a word of caution against using clear timing covers from Ichiban engineering.

We decided to run them as the price was cheap compared to some others on the market.

Well, not even 100 miles in, the center timing cover warped then cracked in many places above the crank pulley and started rubbing against it. It warped up top for some reason not on the bottom towards the exhaust manifold oddly.

Lucky we caught it on time but it could have fallen apart and got in the timing belt and grenaded the whole thing.
