Default Removing secondary air pump without block off plates

Hey guys,

I had plans to use secondary air pump deletes, block off plates, on my Ej255 2011 WRX. The secondary air pump hasn’t been working for like a year and a half, throwing a CEL - no traction control or cruise control.

My question is, if I delete it completely without block off plates, will my car throw the same CEL or cause limp mode? COBBs change in software support has me at a crossroads.

Could I also trick the ECU somehow?

You can't turn off those codes anymore. CEL will be there. The plates are if you removed the whole system but you could just unplug connectors so its "off". I would find a pump used and replace it rather than trying to turn off the code using cobb.
