You can get them from Mauro Motorsports here on the board. I'm not sure on the price, but it's easier to e-mail him to get a definate one.

Also, yes this is very true that they're much stronger. They were put into cars that had 300hp from the factory and can handle much more then that. The ratio's are very good as well. If my trans were to ever go there'd be a very high possibilty that I'd pick up this set.

But:

1. Do they fit the L tranny?
2. Does it change the input shaft... i.e. do i need a different clutch?
3. How much are they

-Jake

Btw, i emailed the guy.

I know that he sells a kit that fits into a WRX case. I remembering him telling me that if someone wanted a set for an RS or L, he can get a set for them as well. As for 2 and 3, he can give you a better answer then me.

Yeah the cases are all the same from the 1.8L 70hp GL up to the WRX. The STi however uses a bigger case and has 6 cogs.

I think you're looking at ~$1500, but I'm not 100% certain. I'll message Mauro Motorsports this thread as well.

Thanks N'cntrl.. i came across the same information in a search. I had recalled seeing the Sets for EXTREMELY cheaper... and I think it was a mistake on my part.

Needless to say, i was way off on the price of the RS gearset. I am going to look to alternative methods of rebuilding my Tranny. Likely w/ the normal parts.
