Refitting OEM WRX exhaust 2015+. Trying to find the gaskets and bolts needed to refit the OEM exhaust prior to parting out.
There was a Subaru 2015 exhaust parts diagram on NASIOC a year or more back. Just can't locate it now. The diagram I found on the Subaru website has obliterated the part numbers. Advice appreciated.

Default Anyone install the Idoing Head Unit?

Wondering if anyone has installed the Idoing Android Head unit? Or anything similar like the Seicane. Want to get one but my biggest concern is sound quality.

I would get something with good sound quality like Alpine. Speakers should be the larger concern on sound. Always choose the highest quality you can on speakers. As cheap front door speakers make the sound sound cheap. Cheap subs give distorted bass. Rear door speaker choice won't matter as much. As they are a full in sound speaker.

Default LED foglight and headlight

i have a 2019 wrx base.

was looking into putting in both LED headlights and fog lights. i've been doing some research and im getting conflicting info. my basic/general questions are this:

1)HEADLIGHTS: do i need additional parts to change from the OEM halogen to led? in my case i would most likely be choosing a whole headlight assembly KIT, but i've seen some kits that come with a lot of harnesses, etc., and some that don't come with any. i understand (at least i think i do) that the amperage/voltage is not the same for the oem lights as the leds. so this make me think there needs to be some other type parts needed.

2) FOGLIGHTS: the same type of question as above. ive seen a lot of halogen options but not many led options (again in my case i would need a full kit - with bezel, switch, light, harness, etc.) because i have base model. in the led kits it looks like you need to wire this directly to battery.

i guess if anyone just has any good or useful info concerning this stuff, i would appreciate anything. i know that NASIOC is reliable so even though ive read a bunch of other sites i wanted to get here as a final look. thanks everyone for anything.

peace.

2020 WRX, please direct me to a thread with DIY headlight tints, or films. Sorry, i don't know the technical name for that anymore. The headlights for these models are bit too "pale" and i am hoping to put light tint films on, instead of break out the wallet for a new set of headlights replacement. Any info would be helpful such as links to where to buy, or threads with instructions how to apply..etc

Thank you in advance!

Default DIY Gauge Holder

Whipped up a gauge holder this afternoon for a mates Rex. It’s a dedicated track car so no need for a head unit.
Will be LED back lit, so I added the layer of white acrylic to act as a diffuser.

Default Lift and Tires!

Pulled the trigger on some new tires and a lift!
Tires are Toyo Open Country AT3 215/35R16 and a Rallitek 1.5" front 2.0" rear lift.

What an improvement! Way more fun to drive and I love not having to butt-pucker when heading down a steep driveway!!

The only piece that is missing is a spare...
I don't want to put a full-size tire in the basket. I was thinking of simply having a plug kit and portable compressor.
Has anyone tried to shove a narrow 27" diameter tire with rim into the spare compartment? Maybe deflate it and compress it with a ratchet strap?

Has anyone used the grimmspeed clearcoat? I painted my new hoodscoop using their PSM paint, which looks fine, but the clear coat dried into a white opaque color. My guess is that I used too thick of a spray, but ive done tons of painting/clearcoating and ive never had this happen when using other brands. Anyone used the stuff before, did it turn out alright? Did I just **** it up by being dumb, or is there some trick to this? Im going to have to sand it all down and try again, ill use my UPOL clearcoat this time and see how that goes.

Well just for future reference, maybe I was doing somthing wrong with the grimmspeed stuff, but the UPOL clear was much much better. I applied it the same way I did the GS stuff, but it actually worked as intended rather than clouding up instantly.

If anyones looking for a good clearcoat to use, I highly recommend this one.
