Given the Warriors injuries and Lebron's age I may actually watch the regular season a bit. For the first time in a while there may possibly be a sense of parity.

I'll check back July 1st to confirm there isn't a new super team. At which point if there is I'll just check out again.

With KD out of the picture I'm not sure it's even possible to build a super team this off season. The closest one is probably the Sixers, surprisingly. Thank god Anthony Davis's contract is up next year instead of this season. Otherwise we'd be talking about the Lakers being runaway favorites. We don't need that.

Most teams with max slots available don't really have that already elite super star established on the roster.

If you're a decent vet who is ring chasing this off season...where would you even go?

I said it in the...now last years thread...the Dallas Mavericks are camps next year and they have space to add an almost max guy to go with the two European fellas they have.

Depends if Zinger is 100% and if he can last the season. AND they are a young team.

They have playoff potential especially if they land a decent free agent, finals favorites though? ehh Ask me again in January.

I would love to see the Rockets flame out even harder this year.
Complete and total failure and indictment of their style of play.
That's all I have to look forward to since my boys don't have a real shot but gotta keep the faith.

Nah man. Everyone has a shot next year. I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see the Spurs a top 3 seed by the end of the regular season. Assuming they are mostly healthy.

Suns will be down in the basement with them to keep them company.

Along with the Knicks.

AD to the Lakers. Wojbomb

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks -- including the No. 4 overall selection in next week's draft, league sources tell ESPN.

WOW they ****ing did it.

Alright so with that trade the stupid Lakers still have another max slot open right?
Edit: 32.5 million available for this coming season.

Ugh. I don't want the Lakers to be good.

Man not gonna lie Zion with a (hopefully) healthy Brandon Ingram and Lonzo *should* be a pretty awesome young core to build around if you are NO.

I wonder what they are going to do with Jrue.

Lakers planning to pursue Kemba apparently. Bron and AD are great but they desperately need shooters now.

Pelicans did good. They have #4 pick also. Culver or Garland would be good.

AD as good as he is, is always hurt.

I believe Kemba is willing to take less to stay. At least I read that somewhere. I will be disappointed if Jimmy G goes there.

I wonder if there's still heavy stigma for joining a Lebron team. Every year since the 16 champion ship at the trade deadline there's been a massive overhaul of role guys on Lebron's team (well, last year there was an attempt).

Now with AD there and assuming a 3rd star, the pressure to win will be even crazier than last year.

They have enough money to get 1-2 real solid players and then fill it out with veterans on minimums. They cleared out all the trade deadline fodder now so they should be able to get their team together from the start. With the exception of this year's pick, the rest will be 26+ garbage picks. They get their first round pick again when LeBron's contract is over.

One or two decent signings and LeBron will have his best team since Wade and Bosh. They might even be able to give that team a run for its money.

Also, as mentioned, AD is injury prone. LeBron is coming up on 35. Unless they add Khawi this team will be nothing like the Wade/Bosh Heatles

Kawhi should stay. He'll go from FMVP to a spot up 3 point shooting scapegoat.

Came here to post that

Oh man he's gonna be unleashed now..not sure yet if that's good or bad.

The only way the trade is bad is if AD gets a KD like injury.

Ugh. The "player empowerment" era is a chore. I know that makes me sound aggressively white an old.

These asses want no part of actual competition. Just give me an orange slice and my Larry O'Brien trophy. And my shoe deal. Gimme.

Eh I'm not ready to call middle aged LeBron, injury prone AD , and whoever else a powerhouse.

AD was gonna go LA eventually in free agency next year. Not sure what the big deal is. It's actually better this way because the Lakers had to give up stuff to get him
