I think the problem is it's become harder to distinguish.

Just got to hear some "post truth ****" from my sister about half an hour ago.

She literally told me nothing matters. I had to ask her if I did.

Check your backsides people.

Like I said, politics is the new religion. When you speak about the opposition in terms of 'good' and 'bad' you lost your way. To balantz, half of this country is bad and needs to be deprived of a say.

Super.

Because people like poison have contributed to 200k in deaths, and counting.

I'm not sure the numbers work out that high.

The angriest are almost always the loudest.

We're just soo bifurcated it's hard to know. As encouraged as I get by seeing the calm things, they still tend to have reactions.

He's dumb enough to think masks don't work because he can't read **** right, but not quite dumb enough to follow through with it.

Man, China is quickly turning into the biohazard embarrassment of the world. News stories like this only feeds into some people's beliefs that Covid was man made.

Maine's policy of allowing NY, NJ, and CT residents to visit without testing or quarantine (but not MA) made me curious about who got the 'rona.

I'm not sure what he sees but it seems to just create more retrenchment. As though a desire for understanding is his derision.

Maybe he just thinks most everyone will never believe anything he says. I can relate to that.

A slowly building regret of mine, for it's implications may not always be clear, at first. Still, it kinda takes two to tango...

Went to the rich part of town today, and holy ****, night and day compared to the side we live in. Where we live 90% wear masks when in public, on the preppy side of town it was less than 30%.

We left pretty quickly.

As I was saying:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/09/21/cdc-covid-aerosols-airborne-guidelines/

Quote:
For months, scientists and public health experts have warned of mounting evidence that the novel coronavirus is airborne, transmitted through tiny droplets called aerosols that linger in the air much longer than the larger globs that come from coughing or sneezing.

Now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention agrees. The CDC recently changed its official guidance to note that aerosols are “thought to be the main way the virus spreads” and to warn that poorly ventilated indoor spaces are particularly dangerous.

I don't read every single post in this thread, but I'm not sure that anyone said "Masks stop the virus. Full stop. No more virus."

Pretty sure the going theme around here is "Masks help slow transmission and lessen viral load potentially beneath the level needed to make you sick."

But don't worry, I'll make sure to tell my nurse SIL that worked one of the the covid floors during the height of this who hasn't had it to this point and wore N95s or worse daily that some loser on the internet says N95s are worthless and she was just lucky.

Oh, is this it the condoms aren't 100% effective so therefore, they're 100% useless and ineffective retardation?

Remember, there's no science at all showing that masks do anything. Just repeat it enough times and cherrypick your way to the truth!

This is what I was posting about before. Yes, masks stop large droplets; it does **** all for smaller particles, which are a majority of the particles expelled during any respiratory activity. Most of those arguing with me were saying it's not airborne; you were wrong again.

Upnygimp, n95's work, in a medical setting, when worn properly. They are rarely worn properly, and aren't meant to be worn all day in public.

I think most people arguing that sentiment. (myself included) Saw you dismissing the idea that these virus particles travel around much easier attached to respiratory droplets.

These particles like to stick where they end up and see what they can do. They aren't on some Heavy Metal self proclaimed journey.

Maybe a few particles make it out without droplets but, I doubt a large amount do. Otherwise masks wouldn't help.

I'm not looking but it sounds like more aerosol bull****. Yes, we know it probably can be transmitted that way and there's been evidence of this for months. Which is missing the point that droplets are an extremely prevalent means of transmission and for which masks help a great deal. But what else would be expect from the Great Contrarian Bean Prophet Troll?
