I know virtual dyno has multiple gear ratios available to use in its algorithm so that it can correct it. its not safe to reach 130 on public roads haha

Good point I get **** from these other guys in here for rolling on bags and 215’s being unsafe! But I guess doin 4th gear pulls for them on public roads is ok

Unless they do dyno tuning, but haven’t heard that yet lol

It does have compensations built in, but they're approximate and obviously can't simulate load.

This is why I prefer a technique of using a dyno + road tuning in conjunction.

With E tuning alone you're always compromising something.

I don’t think he was e tuning. Just maybe couldn’t find a dyno. I have to drive 70 miles south to find an all-wheel-drive Dyno personally so i used virtual. Plus you can see comparisons between dynojet and mustang
As for the third gear fourth gear thing, my particular car has a lot of load according to my tuner, so we were able to do three pulls in 3rd and the rest in second with no issue. Then he sent me the data log and I put it in the software. The virtual Dino software has the weight and gear ratios for tons of cars so that there is no guessing or small inaccuracies when it comes to the gear ratio that is used in the data log. And even if you use a data log from third gear and try to say it was 2nd, the graph will look odd and you will know something the user did was wrong.

Just may have been a matter of convenience. Ever since Josh Bader took his RA to the track and backed up the results from the virtual Dino, I have been quite confident, that unless you are going downhill, most numbers are pretty accurate.

And my pull was slightly up hill lol

Tire size seems to greatly effect numbers! If I put in stock tires VD said I was making more power

09 5 speed. We were pushing over 400tq but dialed it down by the 3rd pull in 3rd gear and had plenty of load. My tuner was comfortable finishing the tune in 2nd. (Also to limit the stress on 3rd)
Hell mikey botti tuned my 05 in 2nd on the 4eat too but i never asked for a log to throw in the virtual dyno.

Haha! Funny the person who bought my turbo lives in Michigan…

Thanks man! It’s not everyone’s cup of tea to say the least! But it breaks necks whenever I drive it, even if it’s good or bad lol

I like it I mean we only live once

I’m goin with a 6870 with 1.05 A/R

I wanted a 6875 but I don’t really wanna mess with the turbo kit. As I would have to switch out the vband flanges to bigger diameter ones.

That’s about as big as you can go in that location

Haha ya!

Idk all in all it’s how you treat them on a driven basis. I mean if you’re WOT all the time and beat on it, then ya definitely shortens the life span! I think casual driving and the WOT here and there are ok. But you just never know when it’s gunna give.

On another note you guys chime in on the I discovered while taking the 6466 out.

So while I was taking out the 6466 I noticed there was no vacuum line hooked to the turbo ( the boost source right ) anyways the shop I had do all my installs did it this way.

They have a vacuum line running from the BOV t’d into the FPR then runs to the EBCS then looped into the intake manifold.

Idk I’m gunna pull all that apart and redo everything.

You guys will have to throw in you’re 2 cents as to what you think about it.

Interesting, may be the shops top secret method to keep engine parts in place. I bet it keeps air bubbles from entering the charge air

I have never observed boost control set up that way.
