That is simply awesome. I'm glad to see Subaru come through is such a big way! Just sad to see that they made it THAT much better than my modest WRX. Oh well, the modding continues. Now I've got to find a way to get myself a 2005!

P.S. I've got dibs on the first totalled STi's 6-speed. I figure to see it by July(?).

keep in mind that many totalled cars were totalled while in gear and pushed in the opposite direction, wrecking the tranny. my 2.5rs's tranny was destroyed in my accident and my friend's was destroyed in his protege 2 weeks ago

Actually, thats the display for the DCCD. STi has no factory available radio. You have to settle with a 2.5L turbo boxster 4 at 8,000+ RPM.

Full_Clip is now an official drift monkey; where's da DCCD at!

And since there's no radio, it looks like they've removed the ugly a-piller antenna. Perhaps it's integated instead of external.

It's integrated on the standard WRX as well.

Sure looks like a radio to me. And unless Subaru changed it the DCCD disply is right next to the tach.

And the plate on the shifter is the reverse lock out.

Someone else noticed the seats aren't the same as the JDM model. Probably a little bigger for us fat Americans. New gauge cluster is nice. The standard WRX gets a new cluster as well (tach in middle) and new seats with integrated headrest.

No, I'm not kidding. I don't exactly know why, but I like how 2001-2003 WRX model looks. Call me crazy. When it (older one) came out I thougt it was one of the most well designed car ever. seriously.

Yes, I do like it's (new) enhanced performance and better interior, but I like my bug eye better.

I just feel that this new one's headlights make Subaru looks like some other Japanese cars. Something like Altima...
Hmmm, I do like that bigger scoop though. May be it will grow on me...

They are RE-070 which are OEM type high performance tires. I'd say similar to the RE-730s which are the non-OEM spec ones. They are definitely not all-season tires.

So how much will the price for a 6-speed drop- I'll gladly take one of those "crappy," non-dccd 6-speeds! -Bolster

i'm reading the specs and it says there is side airbags, which the overseas sti seats do not have, so i'm guessing it's just reupholstered wrx seats.
