I was glad to see him win.

Also - happy to see Checo win Monaco. Between the rain, poor Ferrari strategy, and someone other than Max or Charles winning, it was fairly entertaining to watch. The last handful of years I pretty much watched Monaco at 2x on the DVR.

Biggest threat to Ferrari's title hopes is Ferrari. Too bad Perez didn't take the win - maybe it was so J. Verstappen would keep his mouth shut.

Sianz gave Max a good run after the saftey car.

WTF is going on with Haas! 2 cars started in the top 10 and zero points.
The left Mag out on hards for 60 laps! They need to get some updates to the cars fast.
OK, I see what happen, Mag was forced to pit by the Stewards to fix a broken wing.
Mag didn't thnk it was that bad, considering Lewis won a race with a broken wing last year. Must be another dig against Haas.

Another stinker by McLaren.

Alonso from 2nd to 7th right behind Ocon

Is Leclerc's contract signed for next year ?

Ferrari has had an issue with strategy for a while now. You might think a team with that much history would have known what to do in less than 10 seconds.

I'm sure someone will post the Sprint and full race results here.

Ferrari were on track for a 1-2 finish, Sainz was starting his attempts to pass the the RB of Verstappen for 2nd, would have stuck since Ferrari had the pace over RB today. Then Sainz' engine blew (like the old 1980s turbo-era F1 engines used to blow -- more literally than figuratively). Virtual safety car then stuck throttle pedal for LeClerc almost gifted Verstappen the win.

As a thought exercise I wanted to see what the standings would look like if Ferrari did finish 1-2 LeClerc-Sainz.

Hypothetical Championship points if Sainz wasn't a DNF

Also of note, Mick Schumacher scoring points for two GPs in a row, which are also his first two career points finishes. So far since Canada, the Haas looks like it is back to it's 2016-2018 pace where it could score a 5th to 10th place.
Alpha Tauri going backwards
McLaren going backwards
Williams small steps forward and fighting with other midfield teams but not in points paying positions
