Is there a suspension in that price rage or a little more that can withstand Michigan winters and possibly potholes that will give me camber adjustment.
Suspension is an entirely different conversation however. Too many variables to address in the fitment thread

What if I went coil overs instead with cusco rear lateral links.

Even better. No problems at all. That's what I'm on (vorshlag plates up front).

So I think I narrowed it down more.
Fortune 500 coils with swift springs set at 8k / 8k.
Cusco lateral links in the back.

This setup, it will take care of my rubbing issues as I'm worried about. I think I need about -2 deg all around. But with this setup would I be able to fit a 265.35?

coils and lateral links and you're more than fine (though if you can swing the cash for better coils it is worth it). -2 all around a bit more camber than advised for that set up. I'm @ -1.9 up front (vorshlag plates) and -1.5 in the back (cusco LCAs) which is on spec with RCE recommendations.

On 255s with only 10mm drop from stock i'd be shocked if rubbing is any sort of issue for you. 265s should not be a problem so long as they are not super wide on section/tread width. do more research on the setup, i think you'll find that you're worrying too much.

I saw a guy post here with this setup and he was running neg 2.5. I tried contacting him but he hasn't responded. I am going to try and run like neg 1.5 up front which will clear, the rear might be a bitch. I know I'm worrying a lot, just didn't think it would be this big of a paint to tuck these wheels.

Thinking of running v12s or extreme contact dw tires

Update for my nt03's: running 18x9.5 | +40 | 5x100 on my 2013 Wrx Hatch. Tires are Michelin PSS 265/35zr18. Rear fenders are rolled on stock suspension and I have posted in this thread before thay I have no rubbing issues. Just recently found out that with a car full of people (5' 10" guys ~150lb each) the rears do rub ever so slightly.

With a roll you still rub? Weird because I had a car full of people this morning with 3 guys weighing all over 200+ and no rubbing at all lol Almost exact same setup and SLIGHTLY lowered on springs....did you roll the rears completely flat?

PSS tires tend to run a size bigger. His 265 is like a V12 in 275. That's what could cause him to rub vs having say a V12 in 265.

To be exact, PSS have a tread with of 10.1 vs 9 on a Continental dw.

I've heard from multiple people they run wider so...I think this is the info that gives light to this. Not sure.

Here are some pics to prove it. It's a very minor rub on big dips with 3 other people in the car. It has never rubbed from suspension flex in the rear with just me in the car. However, I did notice that it also rubs up front only in reverse when the wheel is turn all the way to either the left or right. That's also a very light rub and I can't even find where the tire's hitting the wheel well.

Rear left: (notice the mark on the outer most tread edge)

Rear Right:

Pic of the fender roll. Rears are basically flat:

And lastly, the side profile:

Does anyone have experience fitting The Work VS-XX on 2011 STI?

I am looking at the following:

18x9.5 +38

BC BR Coilovers

If i need to go smaller width i can. i would like to stay above 8.5" if possible. Also, you should probably know i don't want to stretch tires onto the wheels. I want to fit a 255 on them correctly.

Really want a guaranteed fit before dropping 3K on wheels

Update: I ended up having the rear fenders shaved instead of rolled as suggested by the guy doing my fenders. I'm happy to say that there's no rubbing with one person in the front passenger seat. I will update if there's any rub having a full load (2 more ppl) of passengers in the car.

255/35. It might poke some depending on what your camber is set at, because that offset and width is pushing it.

I don't know why he would recommend shaving over rolling lol I wouldn't let anyone shave my fenders unless im throwing some flares on there...seems like he just didn't know how to roll so he said "well, shaving is actually better so lets just do that!"

Is this going to rust out now?

There's no fender liner on the rear fenders to remove so if it's gonna rust it's gonna rust either way. All in all, I'm happy I don't have anymore rubbing. I believe he knows what he is doing since it's tony the fender roller. He's been doing it for 10 years or so. He's pretty well known in the BMW, VW forums.

I just don't understand why trimming the fenders would be "recommended" over fender rolling when fender rolling is pretty damn easy haha Whatev though...as long as you're happy and later on if you slam it it doesn't cut your tires

It's easier to cut than to do a good roll job.
