2013 wrx hatch stock wheels
I just found out I need to get new tires on my stock wheels due to one of my tires being destroyed by a piece of metal. I had been talking to a few friends who said it may be a good idea to try 245/45/17 instead of the stock 235/45/17. I am completely ignorant to this subject and wanted to get some feedback so take it easy. Would I have any issues with rubbing?

Overall if you have a tire you like more in that size, go for it. Personally I would just find some cheap tires in the stock size that someone took off a brand new car. |

OK, so I guess I'll post this because I want to minimize hassles of having to fix things or surprises. I know nothing is full proof.
12 wrx on 08-10 koni struts, stock springs. Because I'm using 08-10 koni struts, car is lowered by approx. 5/8" from stock struts. Pulled trigger on Av20 18x9.5 +38 wrapped in Genreal Gmax AS05, 265/35. My question is how likely am I going to need to roll the rears? I have no trouble trimming rear bumper cover (if need be) as I can do that at home, but rolling rears would require an extra trip that is tough for me to do right now. I can either pre-emptively roll rears and suck it up, or try them and then roll rears. All input appreciated and thank you Dan for the great thread. Cheers! |

I need some experts to chime in. I have a 2014 STI hatch on Eibach lowering springs. The springs drop the car 1" front and rear. The springs have been on the car since day 1 and the fenders, front and rear, have been rolled. I just got some new wheels 18x9.5 +38 and had them mounted to 275/35. Much to my dismay they rub. Not horribly and usually only on hard bumps or when leaving a steep driveway while turning. Luckily, a good friend of mine is the manager of a tire shop and is going to switch them out for me at no cost. I just want to make absolutely sure that whatever tire size i switch to is going to fit.
So, with 1" drop all the way around and rolled fenders what tires size would fit best with 18x9.5 +38. BTW I have searched the majoirty of this thread but didn't find anyone with eibach springs or anyone specifically mentioning 1" drop. |

Hello,
I have a stock 14 WRX and do a lot of mountain driving. I'm installing a 2" lift, but this is new territory for me. I could use some feed back on wheels and tires. With a 2" lift, I was think of using 16" wheels and something close to 205/65/16 tires. 1. Will a 16" wheel interfere with the brake system? 2. Will a thinner tire compensate for being taller? 3. Am I completely off base with this? Many Thanks |

So if you're lifting it, you will get the ground learence, but the limiting factor for tire diameter is the wheel arches. The tire you listed is a 27" diameter tire, which is pretty large and will not clear. Unfortunatly this is one of the smallest offroad tire diameters you can get. As for the wheels, you can use 16" or even 15", they clear stock brakes and also Subaru 4/2 pot calipers since that's what I had. Method makes a few good rally wheels, and a 205/75/15 (27" diameter) will be the same diameter. It would be better if you can find a 205/70/15 (26.3" diameter). Here is my car with a set of 16" steelies with 215/60/16 tires and they fit perfectly. The do not make these tires anymore so I got one of the last sets. Here is a pic with 205/75/15 on method wheels. They did not fit and would hut when turning. I had coilovers at 1/2" under stock height in both these pics. You're biggest limiting factor is diameter. Forget about thinness of the tire for now. 27" will fit if you modify the front bumper to clear during turns, but ideally you want a 26" to 26.3" diameter to fit with no issues. |

Method 502 VT-Spec wheels look good, with General Grabber tires maybe. Thanks for the info, especially the tire diameter. I must have done the math wrong. EDIT: 501 VT-Spec, not 502. Wrong offset Last edited by Brekkon; 03-18-2019 at 05:35 PM. Reason: Wrong wheel stated |

Stock and really? Thought 245/35 and 255/35 were my only options, might indulge though, not a fan of the stretch, was thinking of getting them rolled but honestly not nothing of the process or the cost

New wheels !
Just got a set of Gram lights 57Drs in 18x9.5 +38. They're currently wrapped in dunlop direzzas z2 and they look awful with the stock height! Waiting on my federals evoluzion St-1 in 265/35/18 and my suspension. Will be installing 2016 wrx Sti struts with rce yellows on them, supposedly the 15+ struts are an inch shorter so it should be a nice upgrade!

Anyone on 18x9 +25 with a 2013 wrx?
Looking at cosmis racing XT-005Rs and am curious about how much work I'm going to have to do to get a decent fitment. I emailed cosmis racing and all they said is that they will work. Just looking for a second opinion from someone who knows more about wheels than myself. |

Hello everyone,
I am finally at the point where I need to get new wheels and tires. After much research I finally found a set I like. The only thing I couldn't find is if the wheels below will clear the STi brakes. Does anyone have enough expereicne with these wheels that could help answer this question? I would prefer to not run spacers and I am not above rolling fenders. Thanks year: 2014 model: STi (hatch) wheel model: Weds SA-72R wheel size/offset: 18x9.5 +38 (Also come in +45, but I think that's too high of an offset) tire brand/model: Michelin PSS tire size: 255/35/18 suspension: Whiteline Front/Rear 22mm Swaybars (eventually will run Fortune Auto Coils) fender mods: None (Will roll if needed) spacers: No https://www.vividracing.com/weds-hyp...151394177.html |

2011 WRX stock suspension
New to the Subaru world I have a 2011 WRX
stock suspension don't plan on changing it yet. Looking at running some 18x9.5 with 265/35 +35 offset what mods will need to be done ?? +35 is the only way the wheels come I'm looking at. |

wheel information
I am not sure this is fit.
I bought ESR SR 01 wheel (it mostly fit in Japanese cars). unleashed wheel offered the best deal in any other websites. I would recommend visit there and check it what you want wheel. Additional information. my car is Acura RSX. https://www.unleashedwheels.com/esr-sr01.html |

17x8 +53 sti wheels on 2012 sti hatch
I picked up some 17x8 +53 Sti wheels to use on my 2012 Sti, stock ride height.
What size summer tires would be recommended? I'm thinking 235/45, the overall diamater is a little shorter, I'd rather be a little tall than short, but it would do, just looking for suggestions. The 225's on my wrx (17×7.5 wheels) have plenty of grip for me, on that car, so a 235 should be good on the Sti I would think. |

Yes, see my comment above. The half inch difference won't matter much. I've run a 265 on a 8.5" wheel (not recommended, was because of class rules)
