I just busted another nut
Is it me or does Subaru under design some of their components? Do most people upgrade their wheel studs? I use a torque wrench and torque to 89 ft-lbs but still am encountering issues.

Typically the standard wheel studs are perfectly fine

75-100 lb ft is fine, if you are breaking studs, stripping lug nuts, you either have some really low quality parts, are doing something wrong, or need your torque wrench calibrated. also possible if you bought your car used or had mechanics putting on tires, someone really went to town with an impact wrench.

Well, that's makes a whole lot more sense then. Easier to break a lug nut than the lug itself. Never actually broke one of those before. Just had the end caps come off.
