Will 225/50R17 with WRX rims fit a saab 92x?
buddy of mine got a free set of 225/50R17 tires he said I can have. I want to try and pick up a set of 2011-2014 WRX rims. Those are 17x8 rims. Im unsure if i can run that setup without tire rubbing. My car is stock, and I don't plan on lowering.
My current setup (factory) is 205/55R16. Rims are 6.5 wide. Anyone gone with a bigger tire? How bad will it affect performance etc if they actually fit?

those tires are going to be an inch taller than your stock tire's diameter, which would making rubbing much more likely. this would also throw off your speedo and perhaps cause strain on your diff's. in my opinion, not worth the "free" hassle. 225/45-17 would be a suitable tire size for your saab and those 11-14 WRX wheels.
here's a comparison of those 225/50-17's on WRX wheels to your stock wheels and tires. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...h=8&offset2=53 the 17x8 WRX wheels and your 92x 16" wheels both have a 53mm offset. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2239019 |

I would go 225R4517. That's what I have on my 04 wagon with +48 offset. No rubs.

Found a set of 18x9.5 rims on 255/35r18s. Tires are the same height but 2 inches wider. Rims are 3 inches wider, but an offset of +44. Thing that offset is enough to fit this setup?

Checked it out on willtheyfit.com
Looks like the inner rim would be an inch closer to struts than they are now. Not sure if that's alot. And outer rim will stick out 2 inches from where they are now |

I switched to STI front control arms so my front track is the sedan width so it’s wider and actually a little outside the fender. |

I went with the WRX 17s. 27x8 +53. On 225/45r17s. Havent mounted them yet. Im sure it won't be flush because of the offset. Maybe I can get spacers?
