After seeing how common and seemingly easy it is to fit 18x9.5" +38 with a 265/35-18, I went that route. It's being a bitch to fit. The tire sits about 1/2" outside of the fender at normal camber settings. At the ride height I was hoping to be at, the fender was literally sitting on the tread of the tire. It's probably going to end up taking 3* or more of camber for the tires to clear the fenders.

Looking at getting some rpf1s 18x9.5 +38, I'm slightly lowered on bc coils. Can I run 265/35s with just a roll in the rear and some camber? Or will I still rub? Suggestions?

any camber? rubbing? did you get fenders rolled and pulled? we're not into the slammed look with unnecessary camber, we kinda of want some meat yet still be lower than stock to give it its aggressive stance.

You'll need a decent roll in the rear and a little bit of camber....I suggest you stay with 255/35 to be extra safe....there's no need to go with a 265 tire when the 255 fits perfectly BUT that's your end decision

Ok what about going a bit lower with the offset and same width? would it bring my stance out a bit? or maybe stay stock offset and add a half inch to the width just so the tires are a bit wider.
Thanks for your input btw it was helpful! |

Yea I'm not so sure that would even make much of a difference and because you have brembos the lower offset you go the clearance to the calipers is going to be reduced and you may need to run spacers...you could just go with a higher offset 8.5" width wheel and run 1/2" or less spacers to bring it out a little but you still won't be doing anything about wheel gap without actually lowering the car...or go with an 8.5" wheel and run 235/45 but I'm not sure if that tire being taller would rub....I doubt it would but you'll have to try and sort through these few pages to find that answer lol

I am running 18x9.5 +38 RPF1s on a 2011 WRX with 265/35s, lowered on BC coils and only needed a very mild roll in the rear. Here is a picture for reference: Last edited by SheerTechnique; 11-16-2013 at 12:11 PM. |

theres a guy a couple pages back saying his wrx hatch is running 18x9.5 +40 miro 111 with 255/35/18...stock eveything, no fender roll or pull...is this a possible solution to my delimma?
also on another thread a guy told me that he was talking to a wheel vendor (suby-dude) and he said that a 18x9 +30 with 255/35/18 would fit his '11 hatch with stock ride height. Any thoughts on this? Last edited by Markusrose; 11-17-2013 at 09:10 AM. |

I'm looking to get a set of Pilot Sport A/S 3 for my stock 17x8 wheels. Would 245/40r17 be an okay size, or should I stick with the stock size for this tire?

I know someone running stock tire size with 18 8.5 35 wheels and he had to roll the rears. He is lowered though.
