I am now using a powerfc as well, its been untuned except for boost duty cycle adjustments and preliminary idle setup. I ran it on my previous ej20k setup and am still running it with my modded ej20k heads/ ej257 bottom end setup and it runs smooth but I need to tune it to get the most out of the build. It can build boost quickly and go into boost cut if the outside temps change a lot.

Ok great thanks! Atleast I know I can install it and drive it to get tuned

Does anyone know if the Ej20K ignitor (22438AA140) is replaceable via a USDM part?

Also are the Ej20K inter-cooler stays the same to a USDM part - if so what?

Ok So any 90-98 Legacy uses same ignitor.
Intercooler stays look to be same as GD. Havent tested yet.

For a simplified EJ20K list - http://worldconspiracy.org/EJ20K.txt

I will be cleaning that up more asap.

Used the search thread with no luck...theres random blobs of info everywhere.
I have a 97ej20k...looking to upgrade injectors from stock about 1 size cc up to go with my new fuel pump and other mods. Are the sti injectors bigger/will they fit? If so whats the part number? Is there an aftermarket anyone recommends? I'm not sure what Size injector I have now. They are stock though.

/\ Your injectors likley are 480cc and the newer usdm sti sidefeeds won't directly fit. If you want to use the 550cc usdms (for example), you'll need to buy an adapter kit that has sleeves and o rings to make the newer injectors fit. I was upgrading from my 480cc injectors to 1000 and had to use the adapter kit on my 97 ej20k rails. There are a few sellers who have them, my adapters came from five 0 motorsport.

The ej20k sidefeeds look similar to the newer usdm versions but they aren't. The ej20k uses the phase 1 style and the usdm wrx sidefeeds are phase 2 style.

Got a link to the adaptor kit you picked up? I checked 5 0 but couldn't find anything.

If you are looking for an adapter like 2slofouru is talking about, these Carl Davey Phase 1> 2 Injector Adapters are the only way to go. In fact, they provide most of the harder to find conversion parts for JDM Ver1-6 STi. Depending on what kind of #s you're after, the Ver5/6 STi yellow side feeds should be sufice for 300hp, but if you want more than that I would just go with some DW850cc side feeds and call it a day. Its pointless to upgrade your injectors more than once. Most ppl realize that after the second time LoL its better to run a bigger Injector on a lower DC anyways.

Im running DW850cc & DW300 pump and im good for about 400-450whp with my mods...

The issue with the Carl Davey kit is that he has retired from the business. I emailed him and he sent me to www.asperformance.com which is a vendor who is going to carry on supplying his kit.

I couldn't find the kit on their website but sent them an email and was informed kit shipped to Canada would be £48.

As far as the other kits I linked, they do the same thing. Supply O rings and adapters to switch from phase1/1.5 to phase 2 injectors.

/\ Exactly, which is why I mentioned five 0 where I bought mine. Another company actually sells them for less than the price five 0 sold mine for claiming they gave me a "discount".

Mustve been recently cuz I ordered the top feed kit from him about 8 months ago, and then returned it a month later after I decided to stay with the side feeds.

Here is why you need the adapter kit, phase 1 (ej20k) is yellow.

Gents, does anyone know the part number for the lower coolant line that runs between the turbo and the block for an EJ20G (V1 STi RA, if it matters)? Mine is leaking and I need a new hardline (attached to engine), banjo bolt, and washers. Bolt "B" and the attached hardline are what I'm trying to find.

Hey guys I have a 94 wrx that will be getting an ej20g engine, been looking through this thread maybe not close enough as well as using the search button but I want to know which sensors will be the same between the 2 and which are different for wiring perposes. I'd rather not strip it down to bare block and have to transfer everything over from the old engine. Any input would be great!
