MAP and MAF sensor wiring diagram
I'll use a stand alone ecu for my 07 EuroDM STI.
I'm also replacing my intake air temp sensor with a delco sensor and connect the wires coming from the delco IAT sensor to the wiring of the MAF sensor since it has a built in IAT sensor. anyone know the wire config of the MAF sensor?? pic of oem MAF sensor pic of new IAT sensor I'm also replacing my MAP sensor with a 4 bar MAP sensor, the stock MAP sensor has 3 wires so is the new MAP sensor, the new MAP sensor wires are ground or 0V, 5V for power and signal wire from the sensor to the ecu, I don't know which are the corresponding wires with the stock MAP wiring. pic of the stock MAP sensor pic of the 4bar MAP sensor and it's wiring loom I hope someone can help me with this. thanks

For the MAP sensor you can test the wires with a multimeter... it will be obvious which ones are ground and +5v

I need to know this too, which wire is the MAF 0-5V on a USDM 07 STI?

looking into the stock map sensor (not the plug) the left one is ground and the right is the power supply which leaves the middle as the signal.
looking into the mass air sensor plug (not the sensor) the left is the power supply, second to the left is a ground, middle should be the maf input, second to the right is the ait input and the right one should be the shield ground. im not 100% on these as the manual is a bit vague, but i spent a good 20 minutes studying it the best i can so check with a meter first. |

I did this and it worked with what I have and its very close to what you are doing (I ran a AEM IAT and AEM 5bar MAP sensors). I will get some pics for you tonight...

So what 2 wires do you need to tap into for IAT? The Green/ red wire on the right is the shielded ground. The second right i see is a yellow/ blue and it goes to relays. The other 3 got to ecu.

I just wired an AEM IAT on my GR (08) STi just now... looking at the top of the plug (as pictured above) the two far-right wires are what you need to tap into. My colors didn't match those pictured, but that's what I tapped into and it's reading fine, now we just need to calibrate for it in the tune. There is no polarity so it doesn't matter which one goes to what (on the AEM IAT) anyways.
Reference the appendix (page 40) of the Cobb Speed Density Guide to support the claim. I'm having a bit of an issue with finding the signal wire on my MAP sensor though. It's an OmniPower 4bar, plug and play, so it attaches to stock harness, pictured below. With the ignition OFF, multimeter set to continuity (beep)...
With the ignition ON, multimeter set to continuity (beep)...
With ignition ON, multimeter set to vDC...
Based on an earlier post, I'm going to tap into the orange wire in hopes that it's signal on my GR STi... I'll come back and post results, though I'm sure most of you already know what it is. I'll post it anyways to help less experienced future searchers more thoroughly. EDIT: Confirmed, the Orange wire is the signal wire on my GR STi (08). Last edited by Deek; 12-26-2015 at 05:53 PM. |
