Default McGard Lug nuts vs Others

Mcgards seem to be highly regarded lug nuts- I am thinking of throwing them on my new gold enkei rpf1’s on 15 WRB WRX. Do most subaru shops use air guns that may cause them to be damaged, specifically the locking head feature? I found a post on NASIOC where a dude had a bad experience. I understand if I am worried I can always just do it myself, but due to personal situations that may always not be the case. Will the subaru shop tell me to go pound sand if i tell them hand tools only when dealing with them and/or will the mechanics know to take care when handling them? Would other more ‘durable’ lug nuts, i.e air-gun ok, be preferred if i am concerned?

Also- could i use the mcgard nuts for oem winter wheel setup also? Or is this dumb due to salt exposure, etc?
