shop to install cf driveshaft near Tulsa area
My fellows,
Been a while since I posted anything, but traded my 2011 WRX for a new silver 2020 STI in late October of 2020... It's a blast to drive so far but I feel it needs some weight loss and extras to make it more nimble and spirited like my old wrx was.. I hope this is posted in the right thread, if not I'd appreciate it if someone would redirect it/me. I am looking at getting a DSS cf driveshaft installed on the car but don't know where to go to for the install. The next few upgrades I'd like to make are lighter wheels then probably some preventative mods i.e. IAG AOS, and cylinder 4 mod before I get into the power adding... I don't need much power, and don't care for much noise, but know this car has a lot of dormant potential. I don't enjoy racing the car so much, but rather enjoy the visceral analog nature that these cars still have. The direct engagement is what sold me, the tight steering, stiff suspension, etc.. I enjoy driving this car more than my brothers corvette, even though mine is much slower.. Does anyone here know of a reputable shop near the Tulsa area that could do this install for me? I'm 40 miles north, in Bartlesville, so the closer the better. Car is also my daily driver and has 11,950 miles on it so far. She's definitely still waking up, and I don't want to kill this car like the last one by modding without taking heed to professionals. All advice and references are much appreciated, Thanks, Cory

ANY shop can do this as its nothing more than a few bolts, there is zero need to make a call for a specialist as you can do it, a specialist can do it or you local Firestone can do it. I'd also recommend you NOT get a CF driveshaft because $$$ and contact a local driveshaft shop (those are a thing) about a lightweight steel one. They shave off a bunch of weight and are under $500. And if you search the internet for pics of shattered carbon fiber driveshafts, you'll see a lot of them....you will see zero shattered steel driveshafts.

Yeah, seriously just do it yourself, I think it's just the 4 bolts near the rear diff and the other side just slides out, you can easily do it

I concur it can be done; take care of it yourself. You may have more luck for recommendations in your local Subaru FB group.
