Default I got lucky so I am back.

Well, I found a 1999 Legacy Outback at Capitol Auto Auction and I won the bid.
What is so great is that it has 98,000 miles on the 2.5 and has a manual transmission with no body rust. The clutch on it was toast so I had it towed home. I took it to ALL-Gen-Performance in College Park (the only place I take my Subaru's because I know the owner and they have tons of parts on-hand). They put in a clutch and short throw shifter.
While I was there I noticed a set of 06 Legacy wheels with dry-rotted tires and I bought those also. They threw in a free weighted shift knob. So I am so happy to be in a manual Subaru again...this time a 2.5 L. It was pretty sluggish when I got it so I bought OEM spark plugs, NGK plug wires and ran a few tanks of premium gas & the engine perked right on up. It does over-heat when I drive hard so I'm going to change the oil, thermostat and radiator cap as soon as the parts get here, and two more big jobs I probably need to do (timing\water pump & head gasket replacement) which I am saving up for. The battery is also on its last leg so I will be putting in an AGM replacement in at some point. (Probably the Die Hard Platinum AGM. I will also be checking the MAIC classifieds often for upgrades.
Woo-Hoo!

If you don't already have an account, it can be very difficult to sign up.

I've heard of some folks having success spamming the entry form.
