They still make the V8 version... that is good, as that is their real money maker and who they are... but I guess I cannot blame them for being forward looking, even if this is an unnatural pairing like pineapple on pizza.

I guess it depends on if the buyer wants the spirit of the car, or the spirit of Shelby.
If it’s a homage to the Cobra, it needs the fire snorting v8. If Shelby was doing it today, he would probably be looking for a way to put the Tesla Plaid powertrain in a Miata. Of course I actually own the former, but looking to add the latter to the stable. |
