MXB I must say I agree with you on a lot of that lol. That being said, I myself would also love to Import one before the 25 year mark. I was thinking if I could find an S202 in good shape I’d probably pull the trigger. Don’t see many of those these days however, not even in Japan from what I’m told.

Here's my bug. Purchased this from a friend of a friend in its current state. She won't be staying long unfortunately.

I picked up an S202 engine off Yahoo Auctions a few years ago, so the count is dwindling for sure even domestically.

Yeah I have seen extremely few S20X engines past 2018 , I think I got one of the last S204 engines I have seen for sale in 2015.

Yeah, that's around the time I bought mine. Hoping to get the heads off to have them rebuilt with Tomei stuff around the end of next year.

I decided to be greedy, keep the wagon and add a sedan to have my vision of a bug collection.
I'm taking the Type Ra I got back to stock is my plan as it had quite a lot of aftermarket parts - full Zero Sports body kit, Varis Kevlar/Carbon bonnet/boot etc etc
It will have a number of select STI parts on it though, sort of like the owner ticked all the STI option boxes.
;-)

Awesome, its great to see bugs being kept in good condition and cared for. I've resisted the urge to cut my fenders for a flares just because you don't see too many that haven't been hacked to s***.

If I ever move back to the states, mine is coming with me. I can't part with it.
We're planning to put my daughter through some schooling in the US, but haven't decided if we'll move as a family, or she'll stay with her grandparents. Likely stay with the grandparents because my wife is worried about working abroad. In any case, I do have some cash squirreled away for import fees if we decide to make the move. But that's still a few years down the road.

The cherries in front of our house started blooming this week.

I’d say as long as they’re being kept alive and not parted and scrapped out, it’s all good

My first post. I have a single family owned, stock exterior bugeye @170k miles. I love this car so much, it still impresses me all these years later. Thinking about this car and how I can better restore it has helped me through these Covid times. Cheers! Thanks for all the bugeye examples!

It looks like you clicked the image icon, and then entered all the addresses to all the images where it asks you to paste the URL. You need to do one URL at a time.
