Did you swap over the glass or are you using wrong side mirrors?

so 432 to flip mirrors? Still crazy to me

I assume you need more than just that one part. So over $500 still.

You COULD go a little cheaper by using the Prova concave mirror glass. Same effect, way lower price.

For $500 I think it's a pretty fair price for what it does.....i was looking into this when it was $1k. I believe someone sells the switch panel so you can skip the dremeling part. Bump so I can find this later when I order the parts, nice post, clear pictures!

The switch panel thing can be bought at a dealer, my local dealer can get it so I'm sure most can.

$500 is good, but I would get the auto module and JDM glass as well to make it better viewing angles. Module is essential, why would you want to keep pressing the button everytime you stop or start the car.

Is the module really necessary though? It seems most new alarm systems have options to control features like this. Wouldn't it just take a signal pulse to make the mirrors fold in or out?

Not sure, I don't have aftermarket alarm and don't want one, I want to keep it OEM since there's already a module solution for it, why not use it?

I don' mind pushing the button. Our QX60 we have to push one and we are used to it.

Don't care about JDM glass either.

Gotta think, a JDM mirror would be RHD, so since one mirror magnifies and one doesn't, I'd imagine the mirrors that come from JDM market would have them swapped. So maybe that's why people feel they're more "wide-angle" than USDM mirrors? I think I'd swap my USDM mirrors over or get just the motor kit and switch. I also wonder how "door mirror auto system" installs. That'd seem like a great feature to have!

No, it seems the JDM glass are not like N/A, both sides have the wide angle equally, its only silly N/A people have the weird magnify driver and wide angle passenger. Also the JDM glass is more wider than the passenger side.

Door mirror auto system has instructions, they will also translate instructions for $1 per page if you want. Not sure how many pages, probably like 3-4.

Also a strange thing I noticed, I got this diagram from UK dealer and it shows 2016 has a camera on the "passenger" side. What is this camera for?

Guys just FYI....JapanParts stopped selling the motors only. They are now only selling the painted version with signal lights.

I installed the motors only version just yesterday and it is basically stock side mirrors with a motor. You just need to transfer the covers and mirrors to the new product. I will post pictures tomorrow so that you can see how it looks like.

Can you post some pictures of the motor only install? Btw, did you get the motors from Japanparts right before they remove it off their website or did you get them from else where? Do you have the part #s by any chance?
thanks in advance!

You just email them to sell the motors and they'll give you a link for them.

The camera in the passengers side mirror points to the front fender so that you can see the kerb when reversing. It appears in the small display on top of the dash.

Thumbs up

Very cool modification, especially because of all the inconsiderate people that will swipe or open their doors on your mirrors in a parking lot.

I have a set for sale, just the motor housing, no need for shell/lights and other crap.

The only thing you need to buy for functionality is the SWITCH, unfortunately you have to get from JapanParts, can't get it at dealer, I didn't order that so that's what I'm missing. Rest swaps in, pins in/out.

I also have JDM glass for sale as separate set, or take it all, up to you.

I was going to install but just don't have time so selling these. PM for details/price, will be cheaper than importing/shipping from Japanparts.

Do you have a set of 15+ for sale or for 08-14? Your profile says you have an 08 but this thread is about the 15+.
