![]() Well!
I can take races like that for the rest of the year. Good show. It wasn't just for the win. There was good racing happening all over the place. Perez deserved better, but safety cars can really mess things up. |

![]() Tough break for those guys. Exciting end there. Want to see more of this. Think MB is getting closer considering how they are progressing. Feel bad for Perez though through no fault of his own. VES seems to be getting whinier - like HAM of previous winning seasons. MC still has a ways to go.

Mercedes are still far back. I don't see them recovering from this. The Mag in the Haas got 9th despite having SC & VSC bad luck. |

![]() Great race. A lot of attrition with 15 laps left. Funny hearing comments from Max along the lines of "it's not fair" when something transpired between him and Leclerc in the last couple of laps. I was thinking isn't that what Hamilton said when he was cheated out of his 8th title.

![]() A new street circuit is on the venue in 2023.
Las Vegas, NV USA. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f...urday/9462772/ F1 has been in talks with promoters over a potential Las Vegas Grand Prix for some time, but confirmed on Tuesday night that the race would be joining the calendar from next year. It means the United States will stage three grands prix from next year as Las Vegas joins the Miami Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix in Austin on the schedule. The 3.8-mile street circuit will feature 14 corners and a long straight that will see drivers reach speeds of over 210 mph during a race that will last 50 laps. It will be the first time since 1985 that F1 has held a grand prix on a Saturday, breaking with its traditional weekend format to secure a primetime slot for the US audience. “This is an incredible moment for Formula 1 that demonstrates the huge appeal and growth of our sport with a third race in the US,” said F1 CEO and president Stefano Domenicali. “Las Vegas is a destination known around the world for its excitement, hospitality, thrills, and of course, the famous Strip. There is no better place for Formula 1 to race than in the global entertainment capital of the world and we cannot wait to be here next year.” F1 previously held a race in Las Vegas in 1981 and 1982, constructing a temporary circuit around the parking lot of the Caesars Palace casino, a venue that was widely criticized and poorly attended by fans. According to F1, it will work along with many of the casinos and resorts around Las Vegas to help promote the race, as well as with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “We eagerly anticipate the moment when the history, energy and momentum of Formula 1 will culminate in an unforgettable Saturday night on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Steve Hill, the president and CEO of the LVCVA. “Spectators will experience the unrivaled thrill of watching these world-class drivers race through what is sure to become one of the most iconic racetracks in the world. “Formula 1 and Liberty Media have been incredible partners, and we look forward to November 2023 when we once again showcase that Las Vegas is ‘The Greatest Arena on Earth.’” As well as adding Las Vegas to the calendar for next year, F1 is already confirmed to be returning to Qatar and has a contract in place for the Chinese Grand Prix, which has not been held since 2019. F1 boss Domenicali recently said there was enough interest for as many as 30 races each year, but the Concorde Agreement limits the number of events to 24 per season. It means that some of the existing races on the calendar are at risk of dropping off, and may only return on a rotation basis in the future as F1 balances the number of markets in which it races. |

![]() WOW, three races in the U.S. That would be nice Austin, Miami street Circuit and Las Vegas. Then add Canada and Mexico. Glad to see this. Now we just need more MotoGP racing here in the states.

![]() Audi and Porsche close in on F1 entry.
https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/79...n-on-f1-entry/ Porsche and Audi are a step closer to entering Formula 1 in 2026 following a high-level meeting inside parent company the VW Group. A spokesperson told German publication Auto Motor und Sport: "The board of management and supervisory board of Volkswagen AG, Porsche AG and Audi AG have confirmed the plans of the two group brands for a possible entry into Formula 1. "The Audi and Porsche brands will provide details at a later date." It is understood Porsche will join forces with Red Bull, while it has been suggested Audi could now partner with Sauber rather than McLaren as had been anticipated. Porsche has been heavily linked with Red Bull since the team parted company with Honda at the end of last year, while its soon-to-be-completed powertrains facility is an additional lure. Audi had been linked with a purchase of McLaren, with recent reports suggesting a price of around €500million [£422m] for the Woking-based organisation. It is believed the two parties have been unable to reach an agreement, leaving Audi to now turn its attention to Sauber, which oversees the Alfa Romeo F1 team. The only hurdle remaining is the finalisation of the 2026 regulations, which are due to be signed off by the FIA in June, although it has been suggested there may be delays. The power-unit spec is known as F1 will continue with a 1.6-litre turbo-hybrid engine, albeit without the MGU-H. A key area of Audi's entry, in particular, is sustainability and whether F1 can follow through on its fuel targets as the sport is hoping to switch to 100 per cent sustainable ‘drop-in fuels’ from 2026. Would like to see Andretti Sport get in but some of the other teams are giving him a hard time. |

![]() Disappointing race IMO. Feel bad for those who retired - especially early on. (They) Could have made it a better race towards the end. Was hoping for better from ALO and the Haas team. MB moving up consistently and capitalizing on luck. Glad McLaren had a good showing compared to the previous races.

![]() I thought so, too.
The last time F1 had a huge rule change and freeze (2014) one team (Mercedes) got it right and dominated for 8 years. It's very early, but it looks like Ferrari have got it right this time. I hope Ferrari's dominance is temporary. If not, we're going to be in for a lot of boring races. |
