I received three images, and the first thing I noticed was that every image had a different extension... jpeg, jpg and JPG. What this told me was that different methods of acquisition and/or editing/saving were occurring.

This was confirmed when I checked the metadata for each image. One image had no metadata, and the other two had metadata which indicated that two different iPhones had been used to take the photos (6S and SE), and different software (Windows Photo Editor and unknown 13.7) was used to save the images.

All three of these images uploaded no problem to the NASIOC image host after they were imported into my photo editor (IrfanView) and simply re-saved with no further modification.

I suspect there's something funky with the compression scheme being utilized by certain types of photo conversion/editing apps. This may or may not be a problem specific to iPhones (and the way the images are formatted/saved).

It appears the simplest solution to the upload issue here is to find a photo conversion/editing app that doesn't trigger an upload error, and then stick to using that particular program.
.
Thanks for your assistance. Looks likes there are a few photo repair programs available to purchase that would take care of my issue.

Much like the project itself, this thread and any future threads, will be slow to develop and get dialed in so bare with me.

I don't know what's available for use in the Mac universe (if that's what you're working with), but there are plenty of free photo editing programs/utilities to use with a Windows PC, including my go-to favorite, IrfanView.

I see you decided not to mold the side skirts, do you plan to make them detachable? if so, how to you plan to install them

They will be bonded for installation and molded in at the rear quarters.

They will also be cut at the front edge of the doors/back edge of fenders so that the fenders can still be removed once the side skirts get bonded.

Edited for length.

Cliffnotes:

For novice or hobby enthusiast - Seibon FAUX carbon = maybe?

For correctness, attention to detail, quality control or inspection - Seibon FAUX carbon = worthless garbage.

PM for more info

this is the route that I took, front fenders MUST be detachable unless you don't plan to use the car
however I don't like the side skirt molded look and trying to see how to make it look more OEM-ish

See above reply, rocker moldings were split to allow fender removal.

...finally

Using two different software programs I was able to resolve all of my photo upload issues. Added some photos and reorganized the whole thread so it shows the progression in a more orderly fashion.

Thanks for subscribing!

I don't have personal experience with their products on other body styles but I do have a couple friends with GD's who have their parts and are happy with them. To me it's a bit subjective as I just saw one of my friends with a bug eye and he's had one of their hoods for years and just bought one of their wings. The wing only makes contact with the decklid for about 4 or 5" at each side but it has huge frown in it and is literally 1/4" off the decklid in the center, like seeing daylight all the way through. But according to him it fits great and he doesn't mind that 2/3 of the wing does not sit down flush on his decklid so...

Haha fair enough. Haha that guy with the wing sounds like he’s got the rose colored glasses of I just spent some real $$$. I’m gonna pretend it looks good.

How was the MTB ride????

I did think of something from your txt.
When I got my JDM cover painted
Painter advised that Acadia Green paint code too old for current mixing computers(make paint hue/color from weight of various colors)
Took additional work but got color correct.
I am sure your shop can do the same
Cheers !

Haha, great thanks! Bike parks have come a long way since I started riding, like they didn't exist.

I have one spray out, shown in the thread that was done by my local shop (guy I usually use for paint stuff), but I am anxiously awaiting more spray outs to arrive in the mail from the shop out in Denver that has my car.
I'll let you know when I get them.

Thanks!

So got word from body shop that in one week they will have the entire exterior prepped and ready for paint. Only caveat is that now I've decided to leave the car in their hands to finish out the engine compartmant. As in filling holes, bodywork, paint. Means I will be making a trip out to D-town to pull the motor and accessories that are in their way.

Was planning to do the bay myself with a buddy to save a few bucks but the car is in capabable hands so why deal with towing back over the mtns. There is ton of work left, and my own work schedule is full.

Started this project in Nov 2018, so def getting excited. Did the swap, cage, V-mount and everything else on the car myself, including initial hacking of car and fitting body kit. I can tell you that finally finding someone else I trust to work on my stuff has been a huge relief and has freed up a lot of time. A lot of time that is to work my ass off to pay for this thing.

Can't wait to see it in living color!

2 photos added to post 13, rear view mirrors first look.
