Default Vf39 2.0 [email protected] 91 to the 1/8 mile! Pumpgas

Ctracer911s car on the forums : [email protected] 91 to the 1/8 mile backed up with another 114mph pass.. Missed a gear and ran 13s.. LOL..

Stock 2.0
Vf39
External Tial 38mm
SPT Cat-Back
3" down pipe
ACT Clutch
TGV Delete
Perrin FMIC
Deatsch werks 650s ( I think)
Utec w/SD tuned by me
No alchy injection to just straight 93 octane.

This was all done on pump gas with a 2.0. He went 91 to the 1/8 of mile.. Im sure with a little more driving he can get the car into the low 12s high 11s with 115-116 mph traps.. It was about 90 degrees out when the car did this.

Car made 312 w/SAE 320 w/Uncorrected and 310-315 TQ on the DynoJet.

Wonder how it will do on race gas.. Thats next.

I will post up the sheets later today.

I dont think he used the LC.. I left the LC @ 4500rpms.. He was dumping it though, the car was not 60ft for ****.. Basically spun all of 1st gear. This was also done of the factory **** wrx wheels and tires.

18-20psi..

Is it the driver or the 5 speed getting those traps?

I just don't understand how he is trapping that high at that psi on the vf39 and on a 2.0 on 93 no less?

2.5s on vf39 running 22+psi on race gas don't get close to those traps and that is the norm. I think there are a few that have but that's it.

If this is true, than you are the man. I have never herd of these numbers on a 2.0 with that setup especial those crazy high TQ numbers. Usualy you can only get those TQ #s when you have a 2.5 block. Congrats

Getting those tq numbers = high timing.

Besides, the 2.5L tq numbers are way higher than this. But 300+ ft/lb on a 2.0L with that turbo is pretty good. Have you monitored this car's EGT's?

Outstanding.. must have one hell of an engine in there.. Is the car stripped interior or what?

114.5mph with a 2.0l vf39 on pump gas.. just wanted to say it again.

Its the traps that are hard for me to understand. The power on a dynojet definitely are good numbers though.

I guess if your car traps what this guys traps then we will know that either the drivers know something that all the other drivers don't or the tuner knows something that all the other tuners don't.

I just realized that it says in the 1/8. We would need to see the slip to really believe such a thing.

No no, it ran [email protected] in the 1/4 and the 1/8mile trap speed was 91mph.

He really didn't drive it all that well because it was spinning bad in 1st.. When you blow the tires away in 1st and shift to second the car isnt really going as fast as it should be and bogs down on the shift.. Kind of like taking off in 2nd.. The car kind of just muscled its way down the track...

think powerband and gearing...most sti's peak torque at 3k and fall off past there...my EJ205 w/vf39 made flat torque from 3.5-7k...it was also making factory sti whp on 11 psi.

those traps are good for 11's. The STi with the stock turbo and EWG that went 11's trapped 113.x i think..and it has an extra shift.

Not only that but I think the sti was running way into the 20s on psi not 18-20.

Thats awesome Junior.

Gives me some high hopes for when I hit the track. If hit that trap with those numbers, I should be even faster

Yeah, but timing and fueling can sometimes make up for boost anyway.
As an example, I could run 1psi more boost, or just add 1-2* timing and get the same result.
