Default Congratulations

Congratulations to all the first-time STi owners in America from apexjapan.

Apexjapan, and it's earlier, rougher versions, was created to let people know what exactly is available in Japan, what it's like, and why you want it. I won't say that it's the reason that America finally recieved the STi - thank Gran Turismo 1 through 3 and Kaz for that - but I am very glad to see more people getting the chance to appreciate the best that Japan has to offer. (and no, I'm not talking Camry's and Accords)

Enjoy the beasts. And do remember that - they are barely civilized beasts. Much more civilized than some other cars, but still able to wreak havoc on a grand scale if provoked.

Do enjoy your new family member. And treat it with respect!

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

Default Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I haven't even received my car yet, but I am just so pleased that the STi has been brought to America. Thank You.
So many new owners are posting how completely satisfied and overjoyed they are with their new rides.
When will my Silver/silver get here?

Default Paul Hansen never lied to us,......

Paul, of ALL the things you ever said about this car (us STI) not one thing wasnt true. I took delivery of my white on gold STI
(same as in the picture you took atthe press release of the twin scroll) and all the driving impressions and suspension impressions, and the night and day difference between the regular WRX and the STI,..the TREMENDOUS amount of torque steer this car has,...all were true to the core !!

THANKS PAUL HANSEN FOR MAKING THE 5 MONTHS GO BY MUCH FASTER WITH ACCURATE UPDATES AND REAL WORLD INFORMATION. If youre ever in the states, come to Summit Point Raceway, (West Virginia, 50 mile west of Washington,DC) and do a photo shoot of my 400 hp STI Prodrive car with the Ohlins struts and springs, and Alcon 14.4 six piston brakes !!

If it were up to me, you should be the press manager/ editor for STI/Prodrive of Japan !!

thanks alot,

A 2 month wait may still seem to be a long time, but compared to how long we've waited in years a couple of months won't be so bad. I'll just currently read about it here a get more tips before taking delivery. Everyone that owns one, congrats from me too! Hope everyone has time in between rides to give us that are waiting some good driving stories, even if below 4,000 rpms.
You've been a big help from Japan, Paul. Thanks again.

A thought just occurred to me ---- if there are so few STis being imported there seem to be a lot of people here with them already.

Is every US STi owner on this board?

Probably. If someone is going to spend $30,000 on a boy-racer tuned econo-box (I know, harsh! Harsh, but true... ) then they're definetly an enthusiast. And enthusiasts crave information about their cars. And this website is one of the top sources for info on all things Impreza on the web. So yeah, I can see a huge percentage of STi owners posting here.

Paul, thanks for the info and support!

Jeff Tsai, unless it's one of the other B4 sites. A good guy. He's trying to put something together for the new Legacy right now, if I'm not mistaken.

Cheers,
