This is the official release spec! The world has definite taken a turn to the surreal... 2.5! So, someone just lost all five of their cars in a bet, I believe...

This system provides supplemental protection only, and seatbelts must be worn in order to avoid injuries to out-of-position occupants upon bag deployment and to provide the best combined protection in a serious accident. I'm curious about the pricing also. Loaded with all those options, I'm thinking closer to 35k. Hopefully not.

I have a feeling this will be a big boo. We'll soon see this engine in the Legacy as well and maybe the Ba-Hahaha.

THE WRX STi PWNZ THE EVO!!!!! I bet mitsu canNOT believe that they put the 2.5L engine in there.. it's like... unfair! man... 300lbs of torque! Everyone is gonna be breaking transmissions left and right... that's insane! I wonder what kind of times it will get! It's going to be faster than sooo many other cars stock!!!! WOW

I guess Suburu decided to go all out, which i am very happy! It may take longer for some of us to reach the estimated 35-37 thousand price but at least suburu is loyal to their die-hard enthusists unlike some other companies we know. They put the best so I don't mind paying the extra 5 grand as long as its not runnig at liek 23 psi (lol..19 psi)! Great Job Suburu! The evo hasn't been evolved yet so who knows, and maybe ralli art has somthing up their sleves. Maybe mistu wanted to see the sales? Who knows, but comming from a mitsu fan as well as a Suburu fan, I'm glad suburu fullfilled the car for their real fans...

As to Mitsubishi

I'm glad for both Mitsu and Subaru -they're finally bringing the battle to the 'states! ...But the Evo is evolved -hence the name Evolution ...this is the 8th evolution. Mitsu's other cars for the most part are crap, but the Evolution has always been their bread and butter -strong like bull.

Just wait 'till the Skyline comes here in '05 or '06....

The front LSD is not listed on the spec sheet, but a press report said this:

"A Suretrac limited-slip front differential helps to increase traction and reduce understeer. And a mechanical limited-slip rear differential maximizes available traction. "

Mann I was just getting to like all the people admiring my car. Stopping me at gas stations etc to ask me about my REX. Now with the STI coming out they're going to ignore me and say its only a WRX.

I guess I better start saving up to by an STI! Hell who needs a house? Maybe I'd better cool down and go for some new rims, and a UTEC. At least with 275 claimed horsepower with the utec, I can at least attempt to run with the big dog's but hey!

I'm also guessing the STI with 300hp/300lb-ft will be doing 0-60 run's on a good day of about 4.4-4.5 seconds, and about 5.0 on a bad. I was reading about the M2? in car and driver and it has similar power from the 2.0
