Default how much would u guys pay?

i haven't seen any pricing on it, except for someone saying they called the dealer and got a quote of 32k.....which is way low...

but out of curiosity, how much would u guys pay for this thing?

oh yeah, three more things,

1. how come there's no wagon(or mention of)?

2. when are you guys going to start the "should i trade my wrx for an sti" thread?

3. is this the most people we've ever had in a forum? i mean dang, look at the number of people in here, sheesh...

OT must be a ghost time right now, hehe

35k and no more. You could piece together a wrx with some STi goodies and build the car yourself so paying more then that wouldn't make much sense.

hmmm except for that 2.5...............man that thing is the clincher.

$9-10K more than a WRX; about $33-34K. It's worth every penny of that!

you can't even compare the wrx to the sti. converting one is just not reasonable in my opinion. once the full list of specs comes out, we will see how different they really are.

i don't see how $34,000 is bad considering just the seats, 6 speed, adjustable center diff, front and rear LSD, 300hp engine, brembo 4 pot/2 pot brakes, not to mention the engine internals, etc. of course, we don't know what the internals are, but i'm sure they are superior to the wrx engine besides the displacement.

It's all in the press release!(simi-closed deck)

The 2.5-liter horizontally opposed ("boxer") four-cylinder engine is based on a specially reinforced "semi-closed deck" engine block with forged aluminum alloy pistons, forged high-carbon steel connecting rods and sodium-filled exhaust valves. This advanced powerplant incorporates Subaru AVCS (Active Valve Control System) variable valve timing technology to optimize the engine's volumetric efficiency throughout the rev band. It is the first application of this technology on a Subaru in North America. The large capacity intercooler includes a manually operated water spray feature to provide additional cooling.

i think low 30s' would be a steal....consider that the wrx was 24k, another 8-9k over what you get....it's a steal...there's no way a wrx can be build to compete w/this thing if all you have is 9k, and i'm not talking bout just one aspect, cuz yes, w/9k of mods, you might beat this thing, but only at one category

mid 30s' is probably what it's going to be. even so, at mid 30s, i think it's still a bargin for what you're getting, hell, just the tranny alone is worth close to 6k

high 30s', now you're going to start to lose a few of us

either way, what ever it is priced at, i like to think i'm happy w/my lil'wagon......esp. now that i've got some personal touches on it

but i'll be looking for you sti guys at meets, hopefully soon

enjoy
