thats ok.

copied from subaru tech forums

"The STI exhaust starts life out as a low baratone. But as miles are placed on the car the kanuter valve opens up to allow more air flow. At about 1700 miles the driver can expect his car's exhaust to make all manner of noises, from the theme song of Buck Rodgers to the guitar solo on Pulp Fiction."

You OT people are so mean and rude. You should not harass people here. Just because they don't know every single thing about Subaru does not make them stupid.

Stay out of the STi forum!

PS: Yes it is supposed to get louder. The Baffles will wear out a little. It will level off eventually.

Yes, your exhaust will get slightly louder as you put more miles on it. If you mean obnoxiously louder, i'd have it checked out. Personally, i'd rather have a louder exhaust so you can hear the deep tone of the boxer style engine!

so what is it doing now?

Spec sheets say it should be a Cross between a peppy Salsa, and the Theme song from "Believe it or Not"
