Default Flywheel resurfacing problems

So I've read and done some research about 02 wrx flywheel resurfacing. I know that they can be resurfaced and some people say it's recommended anytime you change your clutch, my question though is can it be resurfaced too much? And what would be the symptoms?

For flat flywheels on the 5mt. I've gotten at least 3 resurfaces on one flywheel I still use. It was part of a jdm trans, now happily living in an 03wrx.

On a pull clutch, the lever has a wider swing and can self adjust.
On a push clutch, if the lever runs out of swing you'll have to readjust the pivot pin.

Running out of lever swing might be the first limit on how much you can resurface. The other one might be until the disc rubs on the flywheel bolts. I haven't ran into either yet

I just replace the flywheel. I don't like the idea of having less material. Just me though.

Any flywheel can be resurfaced.

Flywheels, like your brake rotors, have a maximum & minimum thickness.
When you reach the minimum thickness measurement, it's time to replace the flywheel.

Anyone who knows what they are doing will measure the flywheel thickness, as well as examine the flywheel surfaces, to ensure the flywheel can be safely resurfaced.

Flywheels DO NOT have to be changed just because a new clutch was installed. Some people have no idea what they are talking about, or they destroyed their flywheel by beating the crap out of the car so a new flywheel is necessary.

If you want to install a new flywheel just to make you feel better, then go ahead.
