vehicle is located in Fullerton, CA
Well I have been trying to pro long this post for a few months now but it has to be done... Our family is growing and with a baby due in June, I had to buy a vehicle that would support the growing family. the catch was that the Subaru goes to the chopping block since I got the truck I wanted. **NO TRADES** I bought this car from another member about 7 years ago and have made some subtle yet strong changes to it since. This car has been beyond reliable as it has gone on winter snowboard trips to Big Bear and Lake Tahoe throughout this time with a track day at Willow Springs early on in my ownership. (prior for sale post located here: https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2440841 ) The bugeye now has 245,xxx miles on the chassis. The engine is a JDM EJ20 with roughly 100,000 miles on it with a lower mileage VF22 turbo. Vehicle put down 270whp with the prior owner and was tuned at Church. AC blows cold. Heater blows hot. Here's the mod list: Engine: - VF22 turbo - STI pink fuel injectors - Perrin up pipe - JDM STI bypass valve - Blitz SUS intake with velocity stack (stock intake is on the vehicle for smog) - JDM V7 red intake manifold - Mishimoto dual core aluminum radiator - Walbro 255 fuel pump - NGK Iridium spark plugs (1 step colder) - ARC thermostat - Cusco Radiator cap - Cobb Heat Shield - X02 Racing big TMIC -3” Invidia Bellmouth Catless Downpipe - Borla Hush 3” catback exhaust - Stock exhaust is on the vehicle for smog. Transmission: - JDM 5 speed and 4.44 rear end with less than 100,000 miles. - Redline fluids in the trans and diff - ACT HDSS Clutch - ACT Streetlite Flywheel - Kartboy short shifter - Group N tranny mount Brakes: - New pads, OEM replacements for longevity as DD - Centric blank rotors -- rear - Cross Drilled rotors - front - Motul RBF600 fluid Suspension: - Fortune Auto 500 Coil-overs with swift spings upgrade - spring rates – Front 10k – Rear 9k - Whiteline end links/bushings - 04 wrx strut mounts - Progress 22mm adjustable rear sway bar - Cusco 22mm front sway bar - Whiteline steering rack bushings - Whiteline 22mm sway bar bushings Wheels and tires: - 17x8.5" et48 5Zigen FN01RC -- painted gold - Federal 595 RS-RR 235/40/17 (3 tires have quite a bit of mileage left, 1 needs replacement) - 17x7.5 Enkei style reps – black w/ red lip - Michelin X-ICE 235/45/17 (hardly any wear) Exterior: - Carbon Fiber front side markers - DIY black housing headlights - JDM hood scoop - Yakima snow board racks with matching locks and keys Interior: - Blitz boost gauge - Blitz FATT turbo timer - DIY black painted dash trim - Kenwood DDx374BT Double Din CD/DVD/Bluetooth Head unit - Have the stock 6 disc head unit that works with no issue as well. - Kenwood door speakers front/rear - DIY red cluster - cracks on cluster face from removing green tint - DIY red HVAC backlight - Zerosport red stitch shift boot - OEM armrest extension - OEM rubber floor mats Other: - Tein Hood dampers - Rear 3 windows tinted In the last 2 months the car has had a new battery installed, new serpentine belts (a/c and alternator), front rotors were turned with new pads installed, and had an alignment was done as the passenger front camber was out of whack and caused some inner wear on one of the tires which is now on the rear passenger wheel. It will need to be replaced. Vehicle does have a lifetime warranty alignment at firestone however i do not know if it is transferrable to new owner. Major Milestones: At around 200,000 miles, 2nd gear blew up and a JDM 5 speed and 4.44 rear end were swapped into the car. This was done by Forman Performance in Costa Mesa. At 220,000 miles, the clutch went out and was replaced with an ACT HDSS clutch and also replaced the flywheel with an ACT Streetlight Flywheel. Work was done by Gerardo at Daniel’s European in La Habra. At 230,000 miles, the VF22 blew it's seals and a used VF22 was swapped in with work being done by Forman Performance. The previous turbo owner had advised that he pulled the turbo off his STI at 57,000. Upon inspecting the turbo, Dave confirmed it appeared to be a low mileage turbo with hardly any wear and no shaft play. Spark plugs were changed at this point so we compression tested the block as well with all cylinders above 150. Current issues with the car: - Prior owner stated that the control arm bushings needed to be changed however it was found that the bolts were loose so they were tightened and no more noise. Now it would appear that the bushings are finally on their way out and should be replaced. - Rear passenger tire needs to be changed due to an alignment issue that has since been corrected. Tire was originally in the front on passenger side however i moved it to the rear as the wear is on the inside of the tire with quite a bit of tread on the contact area. - There is a minor exhaust leak up front. There are no issues with the car’s performance and no CELs. Only hear it when car is under load and at high boost. - Passenger side axle boot is torn and appears dry, would consider replacing soon. - Wheels could use a respray and have some curb rash. - No side skirts. - Body has its share of knicks and dings from the last 17 years of its life and some paint has started to flake off. Of note the hood has some damage from someone that backed into the car while trying to parallel park in front of it. - driver side seat has a tear in it on the side from wear and tear. This car is far from being show quality due to the condition of the paint/body from 245,000 miles and 17 years of being driven however the car has been mechanically strong and a reliable daily driver for me. Car has plenty of power and gets decent MPG when you're not on boost. I am not looking at trades as previously indicated I have already purchased a new vehicle. Vehicle photos are here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/AUkNhczihrDANCjw8 Asking $6,500 OR BEST OFFER for everything. Willing to sell car with stock stereo, no snowboard racks, and none of the extra parts for $6,000. NO TRADES NO PART OUT AT THIS TIME.
