Default Wheel size question:

I searched but could not find what I am looking for. Does anyone know what the last 2 letters for a wheel size mean? I have an 08 OB and my wife has an 15 Legacy. Same tire size size but when I looked up her wheel size and compared to mine they are identical except that the OB ends with a “JJ” while the Legacy is “J”. I have a winter wheel/tire set up for my OB and was wondering if they would fit on the Legacy once my car is retired.

Thanks so much!
Steve

Quick search says it has to do with the rim flange where the tire bead seals.

Default Wheel size question:

Hello everyone!!

I need a opinion on wheel upgrade on my
1998 Impreza OBS
Info;
5 speed manual
eBay coil overs
NA engine 2.2. Lightweight pulley and cold air intake with bonnet vent.
Current size wheels/ tires
P205/60R15

Wanting to upgrade to
P205/55R16 ( rims from 2004 Wrx)
Tires are shot and planning to buy new tires for the 16s.
Want to go wider on the tire size a bit. 215?
Will it rub on the adjusting nuts of the coil overs or fender? Will I have to adjust my height?

Goal: getting better traction on corners when in track.

Thanks everyone!

If you have wheel questions, you can ask 4wheelonline because they are the experts on that field.
