Suggestions for motor mounts
I have the engine out and about to put it back together. It’s an 05 OBXT with an AT daily driver. 170000 miles.

Group-N are a good choice. Firmer without being harsh.

I’ve read that the group-N is not so good for an automatic transmission. Too much vibration.

I would probably just get new stock. If group-n is too harsh there really isn't anything in between. You could see if the WRX and OBXT mount are any different

I agree. Firmer but barely any NVH. Ran these for most of 19 years with zero issues.

Group-N engine mounts and pitch-stop mount and an OEM transmission mount with a urethane insert.

I got the Group N engine mounts. Does anybody know the torque specs for the mount to the plate? It’s not in the OBXT FSM. I would guess it’s 35 N m.

I have 26lb/ft in my notes. Not sure what that translates to in Nm as I don't have my wrench near me.

IIRC, it is 50 ft/lbs = 67.7909 NM

After 2 months of the group N motor mount and pitch stop, I think that the car feels more responsive. There is ever so slightly more vibration but nothing that is at all bad. So, very happy with them.

Keep an eye on your rear carrier around the rear diff. They are liquid and when they go it ****ing sucks and makes a mess. If your 5EAT has a habit of hard shifts in manual mode, it will wear that out. I had that go, an axle go, and a radiator go all within a few months of each other. Then the battery leaked.

Do the motor mounts have rubber boots around them? Drivers side on mine looks like it’s ripped and hanging, the passengers has no rubber around it. Does any other that make sense?
