First tune with them was stock turbo without gutted uppipe, tune was at 17psi with around 280whp and 285wtrq. Cat material in uppipe melted, broke off and killed turbo...Topspeed sold and installed an 04 sti turbo and gutted up pipe, then retuned for around 900 bucks so its an 04 sti turbo now lol not sure which one that is. Second tune was done by Scott Siegel.

Can anyone vouch for stage 3 on an 06 being reliable? Hate that my wifes 03 is almost as quick as mine.....but i can only hope mine makes it to the same mileage with as few problems

All i have so far is greddy up pipe, invidia n1 race turbo back, cobb intake, on cobb ap stage 2... pretty sure all i need is a vf39, bigger top mount, and injectors for stage 3.

I bought my 03 brand new back in March before the 04 STi came out later that year Now the subie has 256k still going strong. I sold it to a buddy of mine back in April of this year and regret selling so I bought it back a week ago. I really love my Subaru. Love is what make Subaru a Subaru

02 wrx sedan, family owned ever sense day 1 in 2001 106k miles, just did timing belt. stock motor and trans except for lightweight flywheel (makes the CEL stay on though which is annoying).
PS: everyone with a "burnt out clock" in their 02-03's, it's really easy to fix, you just have to pull it apart and re-solder one of the resistors did it a year ago and it works perfect again |

2005 WRX - 2nd owner
188,xxx and climbing stock engine, turbo, trans 1st owner replaced timing belt and water pump at 100,xxx Cobb Stage 1 since 164,xxx Cobb Stage 2 since 167,xxx replaced front o2 sensor at 162,xx replaced clutch with oem and ACT flywheel at 166,xxx replaced turbo coolant tank due to rusting at 187,xxx pretty much basic maintenance after that oils, coolant, etc. Turbo seems to be on its last legs though, cant blame it for lasting that long! Planning on either doing a vf39 swap or replacing it with a td04 and saving up for an EJ207. Hoping to make it to 200k! edit: heres how she sits now Last edited by danisfake; 09-18-2012 at 12:17 PM. |
