Default Need help with EJ207 setup / Massive turbo Lag

Hi All,

yesterday i took my wrx to the dyno to tune and test it , but seems like there is something wrong with it and I cant seem to find it , I need help please

2004 subaru wrx with ej207 and 6 speed swap

the problem is that the car is not making enough HP for the setup (below) dual maps tune .. low boost is 0.8 bar and high boost is 1.2 bar (high boost will be around 1.5 bar after fixing the issue)

Its making only 330whp and 400tq on 1.2 bar (93 octane) , noting that it made 390whp and 500 tq on almost the same setup but with a TD05-20G turbo . the garret that i have now is much larger and it couldn't even go near the TD05 numbers . any ideas ?

there is no boost leaks and every thing was checked at the dyno , AFR is optimal and the car is running great . the tuner is great and he tunes almost all the high hp cars in town .

**note : the boost kicks in around 4500 RPM and its super lagy , full boost is around 7200 RPM

If that is a stock location gtx3076r it is really about the same size as a 20g because of the shrunken housings. On a 2l it would be even worse. show your dyno graphs from 20g and 3076

Are you sure its a GTX3076 and not the GT3076?

Check your compressor and turbine covers are tight and not leaking, check wastegate is authentic, check diaphragm, check unused ports have plugs installed and tight

which was my first thought... If they are good they can do a number of troubleshooting tests on the dyno to narrow down the possibilities
