Anyone know what happened to Suby Specialties? Phone seems disconnected and when I drove by during what should be normal business hours the shop was closed. Asked the neighboring volvo shop and he didn't know anything.

That's no bueno

I know that when I had her do my shocks she went to a friend's shop because she doesn't have a strut compressor (or maybe the friend has a better one). That might explain why she was closed. I hope it explains why she was closed!

yeah man. last I was there was maybe a year ago since I do most of the work on the wagon myself. but I need to swap out the used steering rack I popped in May 2018 and don't really have time to do it so I was gonna have her handle it for me.

I recall she mentioned possibly moving the shop so maybe that's what going on? I sure hope so! It would be a shame to shut down a staple in the local suby community.

Saw some posts back from 2018 mentioning Subie Shop and Delicious as the go-to shops in the Oceanside area, this still true? Working on a build and want to scope out the right shops to visit.

Hello all. I have a 1997 impreza with cable driven trans and want to swap to 2003 Wrx hydraulic trans (old trans is bad).

I am in San Diego and reached out to subie shop, but their quote ranges from $2k-$4k!!!

Any other recommendations? I would tackle this job myself, but with my limited experience and no place to work on the car I’m looking for ideas and help. Thank you.
