Me too. About the vaccination by way of doses available destined for the trash (at least the first dose, the second is then scheduled).

I figure I will tell folks, because there is such trepidation about getting the vaccine.

Nope! I don't hear NPR in my sleep.

Nope! Running the microwave does not give my heart palpitations.

Nope! I don't set the exit alarm off at Walmart.

Government says it won't be my turn to get microchipped until mid-April. For now I'll have to settle for measly 4G designed for peasants, no 5G for me

I look at it this way also. I've gotten my first dose and I'm quite ok with it.

Ok, I changed my mind. Charli is better. Last time I saw her was when my son was watching a video of Charli and I asked who the other girl was.

Scheduled for Monday after 8pm and I've got to drive for 1.5 hrs to get there. I'm assuming Pfizer shot based on the window of the 2nd appointment. Yay.

So ah, what happens if I get Moderna for shot 1 and Pfizer for shot 2?

Asking for a friend.

Likely no health risk, possibly reduced efficacy. Do everything you can to get the same for both, and most vaccine sites will work with you if you're unable to return to your original site (which should be only administering one variety).

I was able to get dose 1 scheduled on my birthday. Is there a consensus on which manufacturer's second dose is worse as far as flu like symptoms?

I've heard of it more with Moderna, not sure if the same with Pfizer.

I'll let you know in a few weeks.

Are you getting both so you can do an A to B comparison? Look at this guy, going above and beyond.

Big brain idea:

Get the Phizer Vaccines...THEN get the Moderna vaccines. Now you're at 185% effectiveness!

^ That's how I had to install a fuel pump to get fuel out of the tank after add all the mods (the intake diffuser was particularly effective.) There was almost a big fire because I was driving WOT on the freeway in Detroit, and the tank burst.

Anecdotally first dose hits hard with Moderna, second with Pfizer. I had flu like symptoms after my first Moderna and barely anything after the second.

No sign of a vaccine in my future. It will be interesting to see how this goes. Surely it can't take too long to vaccinate 4mill people once they get rolling.

I just got my first Moderna today...wife too. When did you start feeling it? I'll test your anecdote! :P

The day of was fine. The next day I had a pretty sore arm (but nothing too bad) and felt tired. I developed a weird pressure headache at the base of my skull above my shoulders that wasn't awful but it was unpleasant enough I took a couple ibuprofen and it went away in about 30 minutes. I was back to normal the next day. My 70 year old mother had a bit of an elevated temperature, she also felt normal the second day after.

Ok that doesn't sound bad at all. I'll report back soon.
