Default Good suby mechanic in central CT?

Anyone know of a good suby mechanic in Hartford CT area to do a pre-purchase inspection? I searched online and couldn't find anything other than dealerships and generic shops that didn't seem to have much suby-specific knowledge. If necessary I might be able to drive it further, e.g. to New York City, so I'll take those suggestions too, but something nearer to the area would be ideal. Thanks.

This guy is a Subaru specialist in Branford. He went to high school with one of my kids. He did some suspension work on my new car, and my wife uses him exclusively for her Outback. He's a nice guy, and reasonably priced.

This is a one man shop, Subaru all day and I would trust his input for a PPI. Get leakdown and compression while you're at it.

A little late, but you can check out Indian Neck Motors in Branford as well. Austin works on all makes and models, but specializes in Subarus. The work he did on my STi last year was top notch.
