A 9.5" wide wheel is outside tire industry guidelines for 225/40 tires (and it really doesn't have enough sidewall height to accommodate that much extra 'stretch'). I suggest either going with 9" wide wheels if you want to stay with the 225/40-18 tire size or going with 235/40-18 tires if you want to keep the 9.5" wheel width. Norm

Update: ended up getting Michelin p/s a/s4 245/40/18 stock suspension with a light fender roll all around. I don’t rub unless I’m going into corners at high speeds or bumps going fast. The rubbing isn’t digging into my sidewall it’s just grazing it. I plan on getting a flush fender roll and it should do the trick.

Trying to keep camber at -1.5 max but not sure if that is possible. I know the +42-48 range for offset would be better for fitment but I really like the PF05 and they are pretty light and come in gold lol. Just trying to see how much work it would take to fit these before I pull any triggers. any advice would be appreciated! |

Fitment?
Year: 2006
model: WRX Wheel Model: Enki RPF1 wheel size/offset: 17x9+45mm tire brand/model: Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tire size: 235/45 suspension: stock (I have Tien H.Tech lowering springs I can install as well) alignment: stock fender mods: None spacers: None I'm pretty new to the fitment game and this is my first modified car, and will be my first wheel setup purchase, so I was just curious if this would fit well, or if anyone with a bit more experience than I sees something wild here or has any advice. I've been trying to do research (including Unabomber's thread) and this is what I've come up with, however still figured it would be a good idea to run it past you guys since the forums have infinitely more experience in this field than I do. I am thinking I may have to roll my fenders to prevent rubbing, however I figure someone has certainly tried running a similar setup to this at some point and knows firsthand what is needed in order to fit this setup. Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by TSID; 03-26-2021 at 09:47 AM. Reason: Spelling errors |

Here's how it plots up against OE 245/40-18 on 8.5" ET+48 wheels - I don't know how much sheetmetal clearance exists on a 2012 but it looks good on the inboard (strut) side. OE wheel and tire sizes pulled from wheel-size.com.
Hope it helps. Norm |

I have been searching high and low to try work out what the wheel and tyre setup is on this car comparing to others etc.
Hoping to find someone familiar with the car, or otherwise someone good at guessing wheel/tyre sizes as I'm trying to work out wheel size and offset, as well as tyre size as I would like to do something similar. Anyone keen to take a guess? I'm thinking 15 or 16 inch... leaning towards 16 with perhaps a 225/55 or something like that. Have found the pics of the car in a couple adds for king raised springs in a few places including primitive racing, but have had no luck finding wheel specs anywhere. |

I love the look of this car! I just bought some BCs and was wondering what fender mods you did to accommodate the bigger tires? Other than your wheel offset, I have the same setup. Thanks man.

All fenders rolled and slight pull in the front.
Don’t think the pull was needed but just wanted to make sure they didn’t rub. Hope this helps. |

2007 STI Fitment Question
Year: 2007
model: STI Wheel Model: Avid1 AV20 wheel size/offset: 17x9+35mm tire brand/model: Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tire size: 245/40 suspension: Feal 441 Coilovers alignment: -2.3F/1.3R fender mods: Rear trimmed spacers: None Wondering if anyone can confirm that the Avid1 AV20s with the specs above will clear the Brembos on an 07 STI. I did some searching and found info on the 18s but nothing for the 17s. I really don't want to run spacers and those spokes look pretty steep so I'm a little concerned. |

2021 WRX - totally STOCK suspension
Will it fit: 18x9.5 +35 255/40 tires? 265/35 tires? I have no plans to modify suspension at all. I want as beefy of a setup I can get on stock suspension with no rubbing issues what so ever. Considering 18x9.5 +35mm offset, possibly a higher offset if I can find something +38 or +40, but for now I’m set on some wheels with +35. Ideally 255/40 because it’ll be beefier, but if 265/35 looks just as good I’ll go with those. Thank you! |

Pretty sure you'd need to do more than just roll the fenders - the outer faces of the wheels and tire treads/sidewalls would be almost 2" further outboard than stock.

2015 WRX Base Stock Maximum Tire Size
Good day.
year: 2015 model: WRX Base wheel model: Method MR50267012515 wheel size/offset:16"x7" 15mm (OR can be 30mm(?)) tire brand/model:BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tire size: 16" LT225/70R16 suspension: Currently Stock, waiting on gravel coilovers to Raise it. alignment: Stock fender mods:None spacers: yes/no? size? None- Currently All Stock. So I'm waiting on some KSport Gravel Rally Spec Coilovers, and I've just lost my third tire in 18 days. The question is: will the above rims and tires safely clear and work on my 100% stock car until the coilovers get in? My calculations indicate they they are just under 1" in diameter from the 235/45 R17 Continental DWS06's on the stock 17" rims. Secondarily, I am also interested in opinions regarding the best wheel and tire set-up for gravel, dirt, rock, snow, slush and ice driving, as I have yet to order the rims and tires. I intend on doing so today. All input welcome. Swift response appreciated- having a ride out here is Survival. Thank You. Last edited by H4yduk3; 09-03-2021 at 01:57 PM. |

2004 wrx wheel fitment, mainly tires
please follow this format:
year: 2004 model: wrx wheel model: enkei pf09 wheel size/offset: 17x9 +45mm tire brand/model: don't know tire size: don't know suspension: stock alignment: I don't like camber but don't mind fender pulling fender mods: none yet spacers: no spacers yet I like the enkei pf09 wheels but I am very confused on tire sizes and which to pick. Yes I've looked through this forum, yes I've looked at it on other sites but I haven't really seen these wheels in this size. I don't mind fender mods but don't like camber so if anyone can rec tire sizes that'd be great. |

Fitment help 2004 Sti
Year:2004
Make: Subaru Model: STI Wheels: Work Meister S1 Tires: not sure Suspension: BC racing br series Fender mods: willing to roll fenders NOT roll them Spacers: none Camber: don’t know current camber I’m looking to purchase some wheels on my sti and wanted some input before I placed the order. The wheel I plan on installing is a work Meister S1 18x9.5 with a 37 offset. I understand there will need to be modifications done to the fenders such as rolling and I am willing to do that. However, I would draw the line at pulling them. I want to keep body as close to OEM as possible. My question would be: will these be able to fit without having to pull the fenders? I did the calculations and from my setup I have now, the new wheel would stick out 27 mm more and would be 11 closer to the suspension. I currently have coilovers on the vehicle (BC Racing BR series) fronts have camber plates and rears do not. Not sure what tires I would do yet but wanted to confirm these would work without having to pull fenders. I am willing to adjust camber as needed. Would prefer nothing super crazy but I’ll do what I have to. Thanks Last edited by Leaguer4; 10-20-2021 at 06:55 PM. Reason: Stats |

Not too bad, but the plan was to install Karlton Flares and run a spacer to get near flush. Last edited by nicholaspryde; 12-15-2021 at 11:33 AM. |

Enkei RPF1 on 2015 WRX
Hi there, I'm a new member to the forum. I have a 2015 WRX with stock suspension, brakes, rotors and stock wheels. I want to install new wheels and tires, but keep the stock brakes, rotors, and suspension (for now). After some research the Enkei RPF1's have come out on top in terms of engineering design, weight and cost. Ideally would like to keep the stock wheel size (18 x 8.5) and tire size (245/40/18) to maintain the suspension geometry of the car.
However, the RPF1's at 18x8.5 have a sort of concave look, something like a 'D' when viewed from the side profile, which I really don't like. The 18x9.5 however have a more convex or dish look, something like a 'C' when viewed from the side profile. The stock tire size can accommodate the 18x9.5 wheel. I prefer this look. My question then, is how does going from an 18x8.5 to 18x9.5 wheel change the handling and performance characteristics of the car, given that my main intention is to track my WRX. Would the wider wheel affect upgradability to bigger rotors and brakes, as well as suspension? Any advice/thoughts are much appreciated, and I would love to hear from anyone running this type of setup. Thanks. |
