So the pump was assembled and installed. Also picked up a Chase Bays reservoir and line kit to replace the OEM stuff.
Took me awhile to bleed, definitely check that your connections are tight, especially the line coming off the top of the pump and running back to the reservoir.

First wash of the year:
Next up, I'll get the car on ramps and properly torque the suspension bolts under load. No leaks from the power steering system or anywhere else after the first fire up, so right now it's a matter of re-tightening the suspension and it should be good for a road test. |

Decided to redo my brakes. Got the STI basic brake kit from FastWRX. Also got some Speed Bleeders, great purchase:
Used Valvoline VVDOT432 DOT 4 Brake Fluid, seems to work pretty good. |

Unfortunately, after putting on the new brakes, I head a nasty grinding / scraping from the passenger rear. After doing some internet digging, I found out that the parking brake backing plate can push out from rust and push the rotor out of alignment. I gave the backing plate some punishment with the grinder:
No noise afterwards! Thank you again to this board, I never would have figured it out without this thread: https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=1269334 |
