03 WRX Under Load Vibration
Hey all,
New to Subaru ownership and have been trying to fix all of the issues that my friend who sold me the car left. One thing that’s been a nagging issue is a strong full car vibration under acceleration. The most notable is in 3rd at around 3300 rpm. A little background. My friend had to replace the transmission and ended up going with a used 5 speed. He had the clutch replaced but the shop did not replace the fly wheel (not sure why). I have replaced all engine and transmission mounts and the rear diff bushings. I replaced the front CV axles, did a fluid change in the rear diff with minimal particles on the magnet, and I just pulled the drive shaft too. The drive shaft u-joints all appear to be in great condition along with the center support bearing. After all of this work I’m kind of at a loss. Could the flywheel potentially be causing this issue? The car runs great other wise and there is no vibration in other rpm ranges and no vibration while coasting. Any help would be appreciated.
