Default Rear drums to disc conversion

Hey all!
Got a 98 Impreza 5 Spd. Drums in back. Drums FINALLY are showing it’s wear. Given that opportunity I’d like to take this chance to convert the drums to disc. I’ve read I can convert them to late legacy models(98,99) with ABS. But what about 00-04 legacy models and 2.5 RS Imprezas? Does anyone know?

2.5 RS GC imprezas yes for sure,

I guess old rear disc car knuckles aren't too hard to find? IDK

good luck getting the "big ass bolt" out of your old control arms though.

That bolt it’s already broken. So my plan is replacing the control arms as well as the trailing arms. Just need to know the compatible years.

You can bolt any Impreza or WRX up to at least 2005. 93-01 Impreza rear hubs would be the best bet.

The regular 06-07 Impreza rear discs will also work. 06-07 WRX hubs require a 16x7 wheel set, so unless you're doing a full upgrade, avoid.

Legacy hubs from 93-01 should also work (they're the same as the Impreza).

Do not get any of the 2004+ STi stuff. You will spend major $$$$ trying to get that to work.

Thank you for this reply (almost a year later for me to thank you!).
I will keep this in mind when looking for parts.

Reading this, what proportioning valve can we get?

I have a 2000 impreza L non ABS with rear drums. I'd like to convert to 2002 WRX rear assembly.
What is needed exactly?
hub, knuckle, disk, calipers, pads, , proportioning valve ?
