2015 2.0 Mods
So I traded my 2014 WRX in for a 2015 Impreza base to get low payments and good MPG as I enter med school.
What are some easy garage mods that may make it sound better or any secret "deletes" that may make it a little more fun to drive. Let me know what you guys think so far, I have de-badging and tinting and some LED bulbs coming. Any ideas are appreciated!! ***128522; Sent from my iPhone using NASIOC

no power mods out there worth investing in, but you can always go to a local exhaust shop and have them cut out the factory muffler and weld in something else, maybe a glasspack or similar.
suspension parts will make it fun to drive and a decent set of tires make a big difference. Cosmetic stuff is a personal preference, but tint and debadging is a nice start! |

(Cut and paste from something I put in another thread, hope it helps)
There's not much you can really do to an Impreza to up the horse power without spending lots of money (http://www.mrtperformance.com.au/per...eza-XV-MY12-on). There are things you can try to make it more fun to drive though: Larger rear sway bar http://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-...ay-p-2163.html replace the stock air filter with a K&N one http://www.knfilters.com/search/apps...za&engine=2.0L Put a light weight pulleys on the engine http://perrinperformance.com/i-13324...x-fa-fb-engine. http://perrinperformance.com/i-18067...-fr-s-brz.html Replace stock tires with performance tires from whatever brand floats your boat Use CUSCO chassis bars to stiffen up the body http://www.cusco.co.jp/en/catalog/chassis_bars.html Get a tune from ThrottleHappy https://www.facebook.com/Throttle.Ha...rofile_browser http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2658018 Exhaust wise, it is my understanding that the stock BRZ exhaust fits with only minor modification, this then gives the impression that any after market BRZ exhausts will also fit http://allwelldrive.blogspot.jp/2013...-from-brz.html |

Im actually on the same page, i had a 2015 wrx couple of months ago but i wrecked the car due to an accident and now i ended up getting the impreza base 5door. Im actually planning on modifying the car, but not putting as much as money. My plans are improving the suspension, getting the exhaust done, and rims. Im wondering whats available aftermarket for it. And what everybody told me is hard to find parts for it and no much of gains. So options are custom made or wait til some parts comes in the future. But i also heard that 2013 to 14 are just the same body with the 15, but i dont know if its true. Im still doing some reasearch about this car.

So anything from 2012-2014 fits? And I was wondering if I change my rear swaybar to the 19mm and add lowering springs or coil overs will that void my warranty?

Don't see why it would because as far as I know it, the base doesn't come with a rear sway bar. The springs on the other hand might, but it's a simple swap at least.

AVO just released a turbo kit for the XV. They confirmed it will fit the Impreza as well.

New Guy to Nasioc
Hey everyone. New guy here! Purchased my first Subaru ever the other week, currently waiting for it to arrive to the dealership. Hoping to do some cosmetic work to it! Any tips and suggestions? I've read through this thread that mentioned some things already. Just looking for more suggestions.
Purchased the 2015 Impreza 2.0i Limited! Can't wait for it to arrive, very excited for my first Subaru. |

The 19mm swaybar is a great upgrade. I've done that and the perrin lightweight crank pulley to allow the motor to spin up a bit more freely. Unmatched downshifts feel smoother, its nice.

Just do it. A) it's only $100 new 2) it looks just like the one that came off. It's genuine subaru. C) it makes a noticeable difference in body roll around turns. Especially slower city turns. 4) it's super easy to install if you have anything above the base model. Took me 10 minutes tops. Would take a mechanic under 5. Sent from my iPhone using NASIOC |

My Impreza should be arriving at the dealer within one month. Planning on doing a few cosmetic upgrades like the ones mentioned here. Sway bar is interesting though. However, I'm a little iffy on putting springs for warranty reasons. Anyone have an input on this?
Also, looking to getting an exhaust. I've read around that custom exhausts for the 2.0 models sounded best. Any suggestions? |

an exhaust shop can cut out the factory muffler and bolt in something else, a glasspack for example, but whatever you want. that is going to be the least expensive option, but no real resale value like with aftermarket kit. |
