Sorry to revive an old thread but I’m not finding the info I need. I’m original owner of an 04 sti, I want a set of 17x8.5 +45 te37s. Car is on tein mono coilovers. I’d love to run 255 or 245/40 tires. Will this offset work? Will they poke out? I don’t want that look. I’ll roll the rear fenders if need be. Concerned about clearing the Brembo and the tein monos. Thanks.

What's the difference in an '04 and an '05-'06-'07? I'm not sure there is much but the 5 x 100 spindles.
I ran your basic setup on my '07, on the track on Toyo 888 255 x 40 on Enkei GTC01 17 x 9.5 38mm Offset , with almost no issues. A tap here and there in the rear on the inner lip was all I needed.

Not not sure if there is any difference other than the change from 5x100 to 5x114. Can’t find any info on the 17x8.5 +45 te37 fitting. I want to run advan ao52 255/40r17 tires. One vendor said they “should” clear brembo. I would like a solid yes they clear. Would the +45 stick out more than your 38’s?

NO. A +45 would stick out less! You need to understand offset or "ET" numbers. The higher the number, the more they are set IN. You need a comparator. Also, tires don't vary much for a given size. It is the rim they fit on that distorts them and causes variations. Look at recommended wheel widths for tires and don't go narrow, as that may cause the tire to bulge (and also be less stable).
Look under "specs". You will see that it is 8.5-10. That's why I used 9.5" rims.
Here's one comparator. There are quite a few online and in this thread!
Many wheel manufacturers offer wheel caliper fitment "cross-sections" or "silhouettes" that you can print out, cut out and fit on your spindle and over the caliper to check for clearance issues.
I would do research and call a vendor about where you can find them. They are not unusual. You just need to ask.

Thank you for the offset explanation and the link to that chart!!!! Very helpful. Now I just need to figure out how much clearance the oem bbs wheels have from the caliper.

Can someone tell me if I should go with the rohana rfx 11 19x8.5 +35mm or the 19x9.5 +40mm 2020 STI stock suspension. Can someone tell me if either of these will fit on the car without rubbing issues? And obviously cleat the brembos. Having a hard time figuring it out. Thank you!

I see the TE37 fits, I would love the TE37v in an 18 on my 2006 STi, but can't find them anywhere. Anyone have any luck on this?

I finally pulled the trigger on a set of 17x9 +42 bronze te37 saga s plus wheels for my 04 sti. Wheels are 6 to 9 months out. Still deciding on tire size 245 or255. My car is on tein mono coilovers. Might buy an Eastwood fender roller to roll fenders myself.

As an indication on VA sti's 18x9.5 +38 with 265/35/18s fit on coilovers, rear guards rolled just dont lower it to much and it wont scrub out. Fronts are fine as they are almost rolled from factory.

I have an 06 STi I’m getting OEM Gold BBS for but the previous owner installed the 2018+ 6 piston caliper’s. I notice that some of the post in here state that they tried it and they don’t fit attend it’s unclear because some other people have tried similar wheels and it looks like it’s able to fit just really close to the weights of the wheels.

Can anyone confirm what exactly causes them not to fit on the 2018 6 pot? If I can move the weights and rebalance the wheels for fitment I think about doing that.

Default Wheels that fit the STi

UPDATE! They do NOT fit. They rub the wheel and stop it from turning.

I was able to finally fit the wheels snug but it took a little bit of grinding to the tops of the calipers.

Hello, I have a set of gt1s on my 04 WRX and will be upgrading to brembos this summer, wondering if a 5mm spacer will be enough?

I'm not sure if I have the +48 or +53 offset. If I have the +53, would 5mm suffice since the +48 clears?

Thanks!
