Default This isn't eBay, post a price

remember folks, the more info you add, the better chance you have of selling your items. Post a price, all pertinant info, and preferably a picture.

that is all.

I disagree with this to some extent.

For selling individual parts, absolutely, but when you're doing part outs and such, it wouldn't be practical to price everything. Most of the time, speaking for myself, I don't know what half the stuff is worth and just want to let it go for a fair price.

There's nothing I hate more than finally finding something I wouldn't mind buying, only to scroll down and be left clueless as to the asking price.
Simply a comment stating "Make me an offer"

How about a 6 pack I say ? . . . No ? Ok well then post a Damn Price !
that being said I also have to side with Splinter in some cases where it would simply be impractical to list prices for everything (but these are the exception, not the rule)

Ps. . . Silent PM Auctions ?

I know everyone hates more rules, but perhaps to make our Classified a much easier place for all of us to navigate, maybe something like a form or format to follow when posting cars or parts.

If your selling more then 10 parts and dont want to post a price on each item, then making it clear your asking for offers to do that.

yes no?

oh and

Ya I totaly agree but at the same time there is sometimes it's like what is this worth and post best offer... Like I have an up pipe for sale and I'm thinking I have no clue what's it worth.

Add up the cost of all your mods, divide by half the number of years they've been on the car, then disregard and sell the car for slightly less than an unmodified car because it's been ****ed with.

The only way to get more money for your mods is by returning to stock and selling them.

+1 for putting price. Everytime I see a post with "offers" I move on. Just list what you want for a part so people don't waste their or your time with bad offers. If you get no bites, your price is obviously too high or your selling something that members don't need/want.

However, sometimes asking for expressions of interest, "EOI", can be usefull. We use this bit on ClubSub in New Zealand to get an idea for what we might get for parts we're replacing to help with budgeting for the upgrade parts or build.

Default Even eBay has pricing...

First time on this forum, so I'm not sure of a lot of the protocol.

I'm sure Sticky knows, eBay actually has "Buy it Now" pricing. But if one is unsure of pricing for what they're hawking, just post something and then say, "but I'm open to an offer"...

OR...

do your research and find out.

FYI, I'm in that situation, I'm trying to sell some stock rims from my '08 Impreza (but I'll post that in the correct location, as soon as I have 3 legitimate posts ).
