In for time slips.
ALL dyno numbers are skewed from the get go.

Unless intentional, dyno numbers should not be skewed at all. Especially if one set is run, and then swapped out in a timely manner, and then tested same day, same conditions etc. Too many variables in time slips. It would be hard to compare a simple bolt on mod while keeping the same driver, same launch, same shifting, same day, same temp, same wind speed etc....

Drag racing math is drag racing math.... 60' makes the biggest difference in ET and trap speeds tell the real story of high rpm power. One perfect example, 900hp vette runs 12.1 trapping 140 (hilarious by the way when the other lane has a 400hp fox body running 10.0 @ 125).
Inconsistent driver time slip tells me more than a dyno plot. But yes, back to back dyno pulls are as close to controlled situation as dyno pulls get. JR, you have a consistent track car. Would you mind sharing some time slips to compare the headers to your preferred brand? Similar 60' with clean shifts if possible. |

I'd wager swapping the headers from one car's pulls to the next and a controlled shop temperature using the same dynamometer for consecutive runs will yield a much more accurate view of the headers' performance. There are way too many factors to use time slips, as mentioned already. Controlling the shop environment and having all needed equipment at the ready is a lot easier than doing all of the needed work at a track.

What's interesting is in the first post MAP is totally on board with and boasting about the results like its fact. Then later in this thread MAP also questions the results after so many people called them out as skewed / not believable.
Will be VERY interesting to see what happens with JR/Prime's testing. In for results! |

The first post was made by a very excited employee here. You can't blame a car guy for that. I simply came in to bring some validity to the thread, and provide what I would consider to be a more realistic test. I don't want people assuming we are a company here to "brag" about numbers. I just want to find out if the damn thing works. That's all.

What's more interesting Is getting notifications for non sense posts, and not the results most subscribed for.. Just wait for Jr or Prime to posts their results..

These headers have huge primaries and have a huge outlet to the uppipe... wouldn't this be terrible for spool up and not flow smoothly into the average size uppipe (hitting the edges of the much smaller inlet)?
