TIL that these braces exist.

Impressive.

Scaphoid fracture?

It’s the other side, looking at a diagram it’s painful in the area of the triquetrum, lunate, or ulna.

I broke my scaphoid in college on this hand.

Reading is not my forte somehow pinky was read as thumb.

Wrist injuries suck. And glad that it isn't a scaphoid injury.

X-ray and then a shik-sult.

Default OT Mountain bikers

The X-ray says via my chart to be negative. I’ll get the pictures (I hope) and post them when I can.

I’m happy to know I can just splint it and do my follow up in a couple weeks.

Pros ride injured because riding bikes is their job.

Let that stuff heal like it should, better to wait until later than deal with lingering injuries.

I agree it’s actually a fine time of year to heal.

I think at least one of the regulars in here is near park city.

Yeah, I can see the new Mayflower mountain from my place.

It’s relatively low in elevation and a poor aspect for skiing. The terrain it’s being developed on is also very meh.

Mountain biking wise I’m sure it’ll be great but the bike park at Deer Valley is already excellent and will be very hard to compete against.

+1 to what Thumper said. I assume their lifts will mostly just provide access to already existing trails on both sides of the pass.

They haven't mentioned having access to Deer Valley. Yet....

I think we all see that writing on the wall for that. It will help the traffic problem on Kearns if you could just park at Mayflower and ski Deer Valley. Especially since Deer Valley wants to develop their parking lots just like PCMR.

My back was borked in early September. So I sent the brain from My Epic back to Specialized since it was failing.

Finally got the bike back Monday and rode nine miles yesterday. That might've been a mistake having not ridden in six weeks. I can barely walk today

... but the rear shock is so much better. It was worse than I thought after riding the new hawtness

Easily the most overlooked aspect of FS bike ownership. Keep those forks and shocks serviced people.

This was a warranty issue. They had a bad batch of 18-19 brains.

I thought I had avoided it but it started sucking during the summer.

A smart man would've gone ahead and had the shop do the 100hr on the fork since it's about halfway there. Unfortunately a smart man I aren't

Sup, ya'll?

New here. I've been riding mountain bikes since ~'09. Have a 2015 Scott Scale 920 and a 2018 Pivot Mach429SL.

I started volunteering with our local trail crew around... 2016? I saw the FAQ for posting pictures but haven't read it yet so... you'll just have to...

In the meantime.

In-laws got me this for my birthday! I asked for something that the kids could use too. It's really well built and took like an hour and a half to put together. Think I'm going to get the backpack for it or have one made.

Send to full send and everything in between!

Tension from those four bolts on each side is resisting the force of the rider hitting it? Looks nice but I'd be wary that it'd collapse.

It has a 150kg user weight limit and is tested to 450kg. We’re good to go!

C/N: It’s sturdy AF.

If you rampage into it without planning on jumping, the ramp is going to move and/or the rider is going to tumble OTB before the ramp collapses.

Those ramps look like great fun for places with a landing slope.

that exactly what I pictured when I saw these packable ramps a little while back.

I went up to the annual Iceman race to support a couple buddies and heckle/party/etc. The day after I went over to Glacial Hills to ride. The weather was AMAZING all weekend.
