Default 2011 WRX Torqued Performance STGII Map

Event: quarter mile
Location: Kilkare Dragway, Xenia, Ohio
Ambient Temp: 72 degrees
Elevation: 980ft
Weather: Overcast - Headwind 15mph
Track and Conditions: Asphalt (test and tune)
Tires: stock

Car: 2011 WRX
Transmission: 5spd stock
Fuel: 93 octane
Engine/Power Modifications: AEM intake, CNT catted downpipe, CNT 3 inch exhaust, STGII Torqued Performance map
Driveline Modifications: none
Suspension Modifications: none

I took the WRX to the track for the first time a couple weeks back. I've never launched an AWD car before so I have work to do on my 60fts. I had launch control set to 5k.

One thing to note there was a strong headwind going the day I ran. The regulars were telling me they were losing a tenth and mph off their normal times . It kind of shows on my 1/8th to 1/4th pick up on mph. My first run when it wasn't as windy netted me 106mph trap and 22mph pick up.

Anyways my plan is to head back next year with a new tune from Clark Tuning. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test this season because apparently I have a boost leak and need to get it fixed before he can finish the tune.

I think it's obvious what lane I'm in. Other lane was a turbo 2011 Camaro SS.

Just curious about how the tp maps work. I went to their website and it says you need to download Accesstuner race software. How does it work?

I would have loved to run the camaro, his times are super close to mine, 1.60 60', 99.49 1/8, and 11.2 @ 124.5-127

Great run especially for such minimal mods

go to cobbs website. email a request for the accesstuner race software. its free. once they send you the link, download the program. then you open and save the tp map in accesstuner race. then open and save the map in accesstuner regular software. then flash to your car. if you dont do it like this, the map will be locked when you try to flash it to your car. check 3gwrx.com for info about torqued performance. many member runs his maps,me included.

That's actually really good for your first time. I ran 12.80 @ 107 (1.73 60ft) a few weeks ago with the Cobb map, Invidia down pipe and Q300.

thanks for posting, nice info and work considering your conditions.

your note about switching to clark for tuning is really surprising. i've worked with both and as everyone else will tell you, advocate going/staying with eric (torquedperformance) for your tune or e-tune. especially when it comes to the 08+ ecu, i haven't seen his level of understanding of what is possible in terms of reliability, power to be made, and ingenuity in a tune from too many others with our cars.

good luck, regardless!

I'm not neccesarily switching. I wanted to do a comprehensive write up on all tunes...Cobb, Clark and TQ for the community. Unfortunately I have a this really weird flutter now emmitting from my car during acceleration that I'm assuming is a boost leak. I'm trying to track it down and it's been frustrating. I've tightened down "EVERYTHING" and I still have it. I've been trying to find the time to do a boost leak test but I've been super busy.

Thanks all for the comments. I plan to go back in the spring in better conditions and aim for 12.6's. I think it's possible if I can cut another tenth of my 60ft.

It is likely the internal wastegate and everything is normal/fine. If you do a search you will see a lot of 2009+ wrx's have it. I have it on my car as well.

Check the stock bpv. I was told these have been known to leak on new cars. I think my 2012 may have this issue. Good luck and nice run!

Hey! I was wondering if you happen to still have AccessTuner Race for the 2011 WRX. If you do, would you be willing to share it with me? I'd really appreciate it!
